All saw cuts, nail holes, and similar markings are preserved from decades ago, when the wood was first used to construct barns. These shelves can be purchased in Natural, which means they retain their original coloring and are never stained. They are also available with a Coffee Bean stain or with a White Washed matte coating. Skilled Amish artisans from Lancaster County, PA craft the wood into the beautiful shelving you receive. As the wood is 100% genuine reclaimed, there may be minor variations in coloring from piece to piece, as different parts have been weathered or will take the stain differently. Mounting hardware is included. Mounting into studs is recommended, but not required. Urban Legacy Modern Hardwood Floating Accent Shelves These elegant shelves are made of new Wormy Maple hardwood and sealed with a furniture grade clear coat varnish. They feature two 1/8" notches on the back where our flush mount floating brackets attach. This simple but essential modification allows for the shelves to be snugly mounted against your wall, plus it hides the brackets from view when the shelf is hung. Wood grain patterns vary from shelf to shelf, making each set unique. Urban Legacy Barnwood Accent Shelves These reclaimed accent shelves are very similar to our floating accent shelves, but feature full brackets, creating a very different appearance. The wood for these shelves is also salvaged from barn rafters, and is most commonly poplar hardwood, as this was the preference for barn construction at that time. The fully bracketed accent shelves are available in the same combination of colors, lengths, and depths as our floating accent shelves. Urban Legacy Mini Floating Shelves Sometimes, several small shelves are better than one large shelf - that's the idea behind our Mini Floating line. The shelves are made of chicken barn wood and are available in Natural, White Washed, or Coffee Bean finishes.
