I'm 5'9" and usually wear a 12/14. I ordered a Large. First off, I want to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how well-made this piece is and how well it fits around. The zipper is sturdy, and while it stuck in a few places at first, a few zips later it was zipping smoothly up and down. Even when unsticking it, I was never worried I was going to break it by tugging too hard. The elastic is very soft, light, and stretchy, so it's both comfortable and forgiving. I was a little concerned I would be squishing unattractively out the sides, but that's not an issue at all. The skirt piece is a thicker, somewhat less stretchy material but still stretchy, and all the stitching (at least on my particular piece) looks clean and even. Now let's talk fit. I don't think I have a long torso, but I would say I'm proportionate and I'm tall. I am typically wary of jumpers and one-piece bathing suits for camel-toe-related reasons, but sometimes I can get away with them. If you're thinking "Oh yeah same" then read on, this may help you. The straps on this fit me perfectly and the skirt hits exactly at the narrowest point of my waist with the horizontal straps spread out nicely. If I bend over even slightly, my whole butt is on display. I do love the look and fit of the top half, and I doubt I could find the same fit and quality in a different variation without a lot of ordering and returning, so this piece isn't going back. There are options! Let's discuss. If you're not handy with a sewing machine, you can wear opaque tights or bike shorts underneath. If you DO have some sewing skills, you could open up the hem and iron it straight for another inch or sew a strip of lace around the bottom to give yourself some added length (if that's your aesthetic). Now, if you have some Project Runway-level skills, here's a tip: the bottom skirt piece is only sewn on to the top half - including the zipper - with a single row of stitches. They're small, tight stitches so I wouldn't say they negatively impact the quality of the garment, but a few hours with a seam ripper would open the avenue for complete length customization. If you found another skirt to sew on and it had a stretchy enough band, you wouldn't even need to make the lower part of the zipper functional, because the elastic piece is so stretchy. Is it worth it? Only you can make that call, but personally, I LOVE this skirt and I'm not opposed to a little effort that will make me feel more comfortable in it. ... show more

It fits great! It's extremely flattering, makes me feel like I have a little more bust than I actually do. The only thing I dislike is that the straps are a little too loose, I'm 5'1 and around 125 pounds so I expected them not to fit perfectly but the straps fall down a little too much for my liking. Also, the zipper has a cute little pearl thing to add that little extra something! The only problem is that I've had a problem keeping the zipper up. It'll unzip just a little bit, but never all the way. A little annoying but totally worth it! ... show more

So it helps somebody get the correct size I'm 200lbs and got an XL suprisingly fit almost perfect and there's probably still room for another 15-20lbs. My only problem with it is I am 5'2 and this is definitely built for somebody with a long torso.. mines very short on top of my butt being huge sit I have to roll the skirt up over the little strips or whatever you wanna call them so I'm basically just wearing it like a normal skirt, also the suspenders are long as well and fall down a lot if you aren't paying attention. Definitely built for a tall woman lol ... show more

I love this! I bought this for a costume and it worked so perfectly! The fabric is just stretchy everywhere which is nice if you're like me and have a little bit of a tummy, it smoothes it out a little bit but doesn't suffocate you. I bought a medium and it did fit, but I would say I'm probably the upper limit of what a medium would comfortably fit. I'm 5'10" and 160lbs, and it was snug but still comfortable. I think other reviews mentioned the shoulder straps being too long and I did find that to be the case with where I wanted the skirt to sit, and with how the model in the picture has it. If I had the actual skirt part more down at my hips and the straps across my waist/belly then the shoulder straps would probably be perfect, but I had the top of the skirt at my waist and the top horizontal strap just below my breasts (again, how the picture shows it) and at that point the straps were too long, but I just folded them over and tack sewed them. You could easily safety pin them and it would be fine. The zipper is kind of annoying, it's a little snaggly so while it always goes down easy, zipping it back up is a pain even when it's on a hangar, so I slipped it on over my head and unzipped it to get it off, but that might be hard if you have bigger breasts so just have some help getting zipped up! I gave 4/5 stars because of the shoulder straps and zipper, but I do absolutely love it and recommend it! ... show more
