  • I ordered a small it fits like a glove , here are my measurements:
I was really worried after reading all the reviews, and because it was inexpensive and from china. But i was pleasantly surprised when i opened my package! It was packed as so not to wrinkle, and the fabric is ten times better than i thought itd be! Another reviewer had said its like suit material, but its not. Its more like a stretchy spandex type of material, i wouldnt call it silky but it has a slight shine to it. I ordered a size small and it fits perfect! I weigh 125lbs, 32 inch bust cup size B, 25 inch waist, 35 inch hips, and im 5'2 very petite. I wear a size 1-3 jean or 2-4. The skirt hangs just right with the exception that it is quite short, i do wish it was a bit longer, but it doesnt look too provocative. I will need to wear short black shorts underneath, so its classy, not trashy. The straps fit absolutely perfect. My husband loves it and wants me to wear it tomorrow, as he helped me zip it up and thought it was very sexy. The other reviewers are right in the fact that it does make your bust look larger in a good way. And it is very flattering, creating curves where there arent any, and im guessing itd hide any curves that arent suppossed to be there too! I think this would be great for someone short, but if you're tall it may just be a bit too short. I tried on many shirts with this skirt, they all match, but my fave is a white with black polka dot shirt, it looked great! I love this skirt and i am extremely happy with the price i paid! Definitely worth it. And last, but not least, it does have an adorable pearl zipper latch! ... show more

  • Surprisingly thrilled!
So I did not expect to love this suspender skirt so much. I anticipated a lot of things: that the colour would be weird on me, that it would be too tight, that it would be too short, that the material would be flimsy, etc. I was so happily wrong on all counts. The material is interesting - smooth, sturdier than I expected, less shiny than I feared. I even like the weird little dangling pearl thing on the zipper. It's surprisingly loose on me, which is a little problematic but not unmanageable. For the record, I'm 5'4" and wear a solid medium in dresses/tops and a size 7 in bottoms, but this was a little too big. I'm pretty sure a small would be too small, so that's okay, but the straps are a bit loose and try to fall off a lot. The skirt fits perfectly comfortably, though, and the length is just right. I adore this suspender skirt to pieces! ... show more

  • Adorable piece, well-made, with some notes on fit
I'm 5'9" and usually wear a 12/14. I ordered a Large. First off, I want to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how well-made this piece is and how well it fits around. The zipper is sturdy, and while it stuck in a few places at first, a few zips later it was zipping smoothly up and down. Even when unsticking it, I was never worried I was going to break it by tugging too hard. The elastic is very soft, light, and stretchy, so it's both comfortable and forgiving. I was a little concerned I would be squishing unattractively out the sides, but that's not an issue at all. The skirt piece is a thicker, somewhat less stretchy material but still stretchy, and all the stitching (at least on my particular piece) looks clean and even. Now let's talk fit. I don't think I have a long torso, but I would say I'm proportionate and I'm tall. I am typically wary of jumpers and one-piece bathing suits for camel-toe-related reasons, but sometimes I can get away with them. If you're thinking "Oh yeah same" then read on, this may help you. The straps on this fit me perfectly and the skirt hits exactly at the narrowest point of my waist with the horizontal straps spread out nicely. If I bend over even slightly, my whole butt is on display. I do love the look and fit of the top half, and I doubt I could find the same fit and quality in a different variation without a lot of ordering and returning, so this piece isn't going back. There are options! Let's discuss. If you're not handy with a sewing machine, you can wear opaque tights or bike shorts underneath. If you DO have some sewing skills, you could open up the hem and iron it straight for another inch or sew a strip of lace around the bottom to give yourself some added length (if that's your aesthetic). Now, if you have some Project Runway-level skills, here's a tip: the bottom skirt piece is only sewn on to the top half - including the zipper - with a single row of stitches. They're small, tight stitches so I wouldn't say they negatively impact the quality of the garment, but a few hours with a seam ripper would open the avenue for complete length customization. If you found another skirt to sew on and it had a stretchy enough band, you wouldn't even need to make the lower part of the zipper functional, because the elastic piece is so stretchy. Is it worth it? Only you can make that call, but personally, I LOVE this skirt and I'm not opposed to a little effort that will make me feel more comfortable in it. ... show more

  • Stupid cute (please excuse the finger prints on my mirror)
This thing is stupid cute. I’m thrilled with it. The straps are nice and stretchy, so it will fit your body perfectly. My only complaint would be that, as many reviewers said, the shoulder straps are just *slightly* too large. They will fall down occasionally, but not too often. It would be simple enough to take it to a tailor and get the straps shortened a little. Only other note is that it IS kinda short in the back… just be careful when you’re bending down. Don’t just bend in half, or you’re gonna be flashing the whole world, huney. Other than that, super cute, I would definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Very cute skirt design. Waist fit as expected. Cut about 1 inch too short. Won't buy again.
The markings on this review are a bit conflicting. It does "fit as expected" as far as waist. It is however about 1 inch too short. My daughter is only 5 foot 4" and it was daringly high on her thighs. She wears short skater skirts nearly every day so I understand what the style should and usually does look like; however this one really should add an inch to keep from flashing as walking up stairs, etc. For my daughter, she wore dance shorts (tighter/near spandex fit) and she wears tights, so we don't have to worry about her flashing the world...but, that is a real concern if you hoped to wear this alone. It's actually a shame....she loved the style and I planned to buy her other colors next but we've decided it is just not "cut" right and won't be buying others. If you are ok with REALLY short, or if you are under 5 foot then you may have found the perfect fit. It really is a cute skirt, it hangs well and the "flounce" is just right. ... show more
