This pack gives you so much hair tinsel for such a reasonable price! It took me a few minutes to figure out how to put it in my hair (I used the slip knot technique), but after watching a few videos on tik tok it was decently easy! It is much easier to do to someone else's hair, and have help doing your own, but it is possible to put it in yourself. If you were hoping to use the clamps to apply the tinsel to your hair, you will want to buy more of those separately since the pack only comes with a few. I have also liked using rubber elastics with tinsel strung through them in order to do short-term hairstyles! I have not tried using heat with the tinsel in my hair. This is a great product! It's super fun to add sparkles into your hair. My hair is purple so I put silver and pink tinsels into it and it looks impressive. Depending on how often you wash and brush your hair, they can last up to like 3 weeks. I don't brush my hair and I wash it very carefully so mine has lasted for a good bit of time. There's also so many so it will take a while until you run out. This is a fun thing to do at sleepovers or even at girls' camp type events! I'm 21 and I love it so it's good for any age. I also want to mention that it's fairly easy to apply as well. It doesn't come with any instructions but I looked up some on youtube and figured it out right away. It just takes a little patience because you apply them one at a time but just make sure your hair is brushed and maybe straightened and it makes the process easier and faster. ... show more

I loved putting these in my hair for a rave; some even lasted for a week. they were a little difficult to put in (you'll need a buddy, unless you're a professional). I didn't necessarily follow instructions to put them on. Since I have long, thick, curly hair I decided to use 2-3 pieces of tinsel per section of hair and I simply tied them to the root of the hair (maybe using a simple knot about 2-3 times). ... show more

The package doesn’t come with instructions, but they are very easy to hand tie in your hair! You can find a simple video on YouTube to help you with the directions. You can also shower with them, blow dry your hair, style your hair and even flat iron your hair with the tinsel on. I ordered these for my niece and she loves them! The most difficult thing about making this purchase was when we received it, There was no indication that it was going to be a huge mess of a project. As soon as you open the plastic wrapping, The stencil literally can get anywhere. I had stencil everywhere in my house when we tried to use it on my daughter’s hair. Lots of colors and after watching some YouTube videos, I was able to tie in the tinsel strands to my teens hair. We knotted one strand around maybe 10 hairs and they stayed in for a couple days. There weren’t many of the beads which our salon would normally use to clamp in the tinsel, but tying worked in a pinch. To make this kit perfect, I would’ve preferred many more beads, however I do understand that not everyone wants to use the beads.
