This rug is very soft and cute. It’s softness, however, keeps the water from absorbing. It reminds me of a microfiber towel because the water sits on top. With winter coming I’m not looking forward to stepping in freezing cold water. We’ve had the same bathroom rug for about 7 years so I was very used to it. grey upgraded is really soft and a bit plush compared to other washable brands. very pleased with my 4" round. however because it is plush i suspect much larger sizes may not fit in the washer. not sure what the description reads but i would not machine dry this in order to maintain the softness longer. puppies very happy too. ... show more

Fades, cannot be washed without fading and the stitching and tassels coming apart. As long as you don’t try and clean this it should be ok as long as you dont mind a dirty rug.
