I have no idea why my remote died, but it drove my spouse nuts. It's the only remote he knows and likes. Yikes. Finding this so crazy cheap made my day. Best of all, as soon as I put in the batteries - the TV recognized it and all the functions work. No setup, no computer anything. Just "stick in the batteries, man". Awesome. Took it write out of the package and it linked right up to my TV. Couldn't have been simpler. The only downside was that there weren't any instructions with the package. It did sync right up, so the instructions weren't even needed, but it would've been nice to just have a little card or something that said you just needed to point it at the TV and hit "power". ... show more
