I have super old Roku devices. I mean, we’re talking 2017. It’s the tiny little box that plugs in to a USB. I was worried that I wasn’t buying the right one, as some of the reviews said that it didn’t work or come programmed. I’m not sure about that, but as soon as I put batteries in and hit or it worked just like my old one. No programming needed! Just really important to make sure that you double check. What type of Roku you have before buying I guess. I broke both of my remotes having them so long and just accidentally dropping them so this is great! The SELECT button in the middle of the ring WORKS! EASILY! Just a simple click instead of the "magic" controller spongy wheel. I don't care about not having voice - never worked worth beans, and I still have my original controller if I want to use it. Same with the pointer. Great product, worked right out of the box. Our only dislike is the absence of the Alexa voice button. Not a huge deal for us although someone who relies on it may not want to purchase this item. It is however a great savings compared to the OEM replacement

    • Great replacement remote control for LG smart tv

In March of 2023 my dog chewed up the remote control that came with my LG Smart TV. At that point I ordered the cheapest replacement with 4+ stars on Amazon. After about 5 months the left arrow wasn't working very well. By December it was almost impossible to use. I finally broke down in January and ordered this remote. It was a little more expensive, but not much. Since the cheap one had failed so quickly it was an easy decision to spend a few more bucks (literally, only $7 more). As soon as I opened the package I knew this remote was WAY better than the previous one. It looks better, and it feels more solidly made. It has been great so far – I suppose only time will truly tell about the long term value. But I am optimistic. ... show more

Just put in two batteries and it works immediately. Even came in a pack of two in case I break the remote again. Just be sure you have the right remote for your ROKU device. This is the one with no volume controls.
