I needed a new remote for my Hisense TV. For some reason the batteries corroded in my original remote. I had previously bought a different universal remote where you had to program to the correct model TV with a code. It only allowed me to turn on/off and change channels with the up and down arrows. If I pressed a channel number it would input the number twice or sometimes three times. It also would not mute the TV. I would have to use the volume arrows for high or low. It was very frustrating. No programing necessary. Our new TV came with a firestick like remote with I never really was a fan of especially for finding OTA channels. Glad this universal remote works on any model as programming remotes was always tedious.

This review is for the model EN2A27 remote. I bought this as a 2nd remote for our new 55U8N TV and it serves just fine. I had to pair it with the TV, but that was expected and took all of 30 seconds. . Layout is different from the OEM remote and it doesn't have a button to take me directly to the Setup menu but I can still get there via Home and arrows, so no big deal. I like the CC button, which works for most streaming apps I run. The four Stream service buttons all work perfectly. I've no use for the number keypad but I suppose some people would find it handy. The four colored dash buttons must be a holdover from a previous model because they do nothing and cannot be programmed. I would definitely buy again! ... show more

    • Works Instantly out of the Packaging!
So our toddler completely trashed our original remote. Threw it many times, all scratched up, hardly works. The OK button was missing, and some of the arrow keys didn't even work anymore or were super slow to respond, so it was almost impossible to use the Netflix or YouTube app to click on a certain video/show/movie. I finally caved in and bought a new remote. Didn't know if it was for sure the right one (looked like it though) or if it was going to work at all.
