Features

  • A revolutionary control device for weapon-mounted electronic accessories
  • Developed out of a need to conserve rail-estate
  • Improves actuation ergonomics
  • Mechanically integrates with weapon fore ends
  • Features the activation button at a 45-degree angle for an exponentially more comfortable press

Description

The first major innovation is the button angle. Legacy remote tape switches feature a flat pad that forces users to strain their thumbs in an unnatural angle to apply consistent pressure to activate a momentary function. Hot Button presents the activation button at a 45-degree angle for an exponentially more comfortable press. This is especially important when activating the button under pressure. A raised, crenelated bezel protects the button from accidental actuation, while providing a tactile index point for the user’s thumb. Because Hot Button is angled, the overall footprint is much smaller than factory OEM pressure pads. Not only does this clean up rails on traditional weapons, but it greatly increases the accessory layout options on smaller SMG and PDW’s.

Phenomenal light switch

  • Awesome switch - missleading pictures on this Amazon page
The switch is excellent - really like the 45 degree mount! This switch comes in various versions - depending on the type of connector on the end. The connector has to match your light (duh?)! The picture shows three different connections on the end of the wire as if this switch came with a (Surefire?) tailcap, and a Surefire-style connector and a Modlite-style connector. In fact it does not, this one arrived with a Surefire connector - not a big deal for me, I can use is on a different light. Came back looking for a switch for a Holosun LE321G but the descriptions of this and the other Unity Tactical switches do not call out the connector. Come on Kenzie - update your Amazon pages. ... show more

  • Awesome little space saver
Mounted this to an APC9 Pro (non-K model) and it saves a ton of space. Paired with a Modlight mini and it's perfect for a compact weapon system

  • Destroys batteries, sometimes won’t turn light on, sometimes won’t turn it back off,
The media could not be loaded. It worked really well for a month, then started having a problem where I’d come out to my car and the light would randomly be on. Sometimes the light will not turn off after using the hot button to activate. Expected a product that would not fail me at this price point. Now I never know if my light will work when I need it. It’s hooked up to a surefire scout mini pro. ... show more

  • Received 7" cord instead of 9" version, as labeled on the box
I already had a 7" corded version but needed a 9" so I ordered from this listing on Amazon. They sent a legitimate product, but the button had a 7" lead instead of 9", which was confusing since the box said 9" on it. I contacted the manufacturer who said Amazon might have received a shipment of mislabeled units. In the attached photo, the both buttons have a 7" lead, but the one from Amazon (on the right) says 9" on the box. ... show more

  • Not worth it
I bought this to put on a police patrol rifle. I need the light to operate with no issue at all. For the price and reputation I expected much more than what I got. Within 2-3 month period it started to work intermittently and then not work at all. The wire that connects the switch to the light became crimped and was the issue I was having. I’ve run multiple surfire and steamlights the same way I ran this. But after 2-3 months of of “moderate use” of taking it in and out of a police car and using it every couple of weeks it became unreliable and not something I could trust with my life. I’ve had Walmart special switches that lasted longer than this “high end” switch! ... show more

  • Good product, wrong discription
Was sent a 7 inch lead instead of 9. Otherwise product works as intended

  • Pretty good
I wish it had two leads so I could fire two devices with one button. Otherwise, it's pretty dang ergonomic and functional.
