  • Wonderful pens!
Color: Black
Smooth, Flow easily, no flaws whatsoever. We would caution buyers to understand that the pens come with a blue tip. This apparently protects the nib from whatever. You must scratch off this blue cover. Then the pen will glide as it's meant to. If you do not remove this blue covering, the pen won't write because the fluid can't get past the protective cover. This may be the reason why folks believe the pens were dry. ... show more

  • One of the best Gel Pens, EVER!!!
Color: Assorted
There are three gel pens on the market, that are the cream of the crop and rise to the top spot. Out of the three, Uniball is the most trusted for smoothness, reliability, and fraudproofing. I have purchased and tried the others, and they write well, but for consistant reliability, customer satisfaction, and availability, Uniball Signo 207 takes top prize, IMHO. The Uniball Signo 207 comes in 4 tip sizes: .38mm, .5mm, .7mm, and 1.0mm. I've used all of these tips, but for the cleanest and most vibrant lines, I like the Medium (.7mm), and the Bold (1.0mm) tips, the best. The .5mm is good for a thin line, and I have some of those in my collection, as well. My daily driver is a Blue 1.0mm, and a Black .7mm. The Signo 207 comes in 13 different ink colors. If you want even more colors, you can get the Uniball Signo 151, with 23 available colors, in either .28mm, .38mm, & .5mm point tips, respectfully. I try new pens all the time, but I always come back to Uniball Signo. ... show more

  • perfect for checks
Color: Black
bought these for the last remaining person on the planet who writes checks. My mom. I like the idea it can't be "washed" and since she puts the mail in the box on the street it makes me feel like it's a bit safer for her to have these pens. They write well and doesn't break up like most pens these days seems to do. Nice clean smooth writing. ... show more

  • Not as good as I would like, but they work decent
Color: Black
These pens didn't write the best in my journal. They are good on regular paper though. They have a really nice dark ink but I want something a little more consistent on all paper.

  • Defeat the fraudsters!
Color: Black
Unfortunately, the US is experiencing a wave of check fraud, where people obtain legitimate checks and then "wash" the payee and amount clean and create an unexpected hole in your bank account and also a huge amount of hassle. This writing from this pen seemed to resist any solvent that I tried--and as a extra benefit, it is a great pen as well, writing easily and cleanly so that even my terrible handwriting was legible. As others have noted, it is necessary to scrape off the tiny plastic protector from the point before trying to write--then, smooth sailing! ... show more

  • My personal choice for every day use at work and home
Color: Black
I like these uni-ball Signo retractable pens and decided to try a couple of variations in order to determine clearly which one I prefer. The four that I decided to try were: - uni-ball Signo 207 Retractable Gel Pens, Micro Point (0.5mm) (2-pack, black ink) - uni-ball Signo 207 Retractable Gel Pens, Medium Point (0.7mm) (2-pack, black ink) - uni-ball 207 BLX Retractable Gel Pens, Medium Point (0.7mm) (5-pack with assorted colors, BLX black ink mixed) - uni-ball 207 BLX Retractable Gel Pens, Medium Point (0.7mm) (4-pack with assorted colors, BLX black ink mixed) All are comfortable to write with, smooth and free of skips and any other blotching. For my personal preference the 0.5mm point, what uni-ball calls micro point and others might call fine point, is pretty sharp and perhaps a bit too fine for my heavy handed writing. The medium point, 0.7mm, is still a very fine line in my opinion, and writes very well. I wanted to also try the BLX ink pens to see if I could tell any difference, and I ended up getting the packages of 4 and 5 pens that are black ink mixed with other colors. The BLX with mixed colors are very nice, and all of the colors are quite dark. uni-ball calls them blue/black, brown/black, green/black, purple/black and red/black (the brown/black is not included in the 4-pack). All are much more subtle variations in color than you would normally expect, as the black/color combination results in a much darker shade with just a hint of something else. To my eyes the red and blue variations are most noticeable, and the purple and brown probably wouldn't be noticed as different from black by many people unless it was pointed out to them. I like the variation and as I use them it may turn out that I prefer one over the other, but for now the variety is nice. For my every day use I will probably stick with the medium 0.7mm point, either the regular 207 black ink or one of the BLX mixes. I should add that uni-ball makes the point that the ink used in these pens is particularly good for protection against fading and fraud, and that is also an important consideration. The documents that I sign at work are frequently considered 'record' documents and in fact we have requirements on using ink that is not going to deteriorate over time, so these pens are perfect for satisfying that requirement. At just over a buck per pen, these are not the cheapest disposable pens but they are in my opinion the most comfortable to use. The price here on Amazon is also very competitive, with the added advantage of many variations available. There are so many different choices available that I find it difficult to locate the specific type that I prefer when I'm shopping locally, and once I was able to locate the right model here on Amazon, this is what I'll be sticking with. ... show more

  • Quality pen, fun to use, I’m trying to protect against fraud
Color: Black
I write a modest number of checks for goods and services, send some checks through mail to pay bills. Always have concern of a check being lost or stolen, fraudulently altered then cashed for a ton of my bank account. The company stated their ink “. . . is immune to fading, water, and fraud.“ I hope so, and am counting on that to give extra protection. Turns out it is a quality pen, pleasant to hold, leaves a heavy trail of black ink that flows and writes easily, kind of fun to use. Dries quickly, does not smear. If it does what they say it does, I recommend it. ... show more
