I engage in Skeet, Trap, and Sporting Clays, year 'round. In extreme cold, it's essential to maintain warmth, without bulk. Movement, and gun mount, must be as unrestricted as possible. Using Under Armour 4.0 as a base, combined with a densely woven acrylic sweater, under a lightly insulated snow boarding jacket, allows me to mount my shotgun, and follow the target through my break point, without a lot of bulky clothing getting in the way. I travel light, and stay warm, in bloody awful conditions. Under Armour provides the foundation. I switch to the 3.0, and 2.0 weights, when temps moderate. There are lesser products, that will keep me warm, but the bulk won't work for me, when shooting. ... show more

Warm.. just not as effective as I had hoped. I was expecting more warmth than my generic base layers from Costco. Everything else is on point. Just not that warm for the price. I’ll stick with Merino wool for half the price

It was really expensive but it was my warmest last defense against brutally cold weather. I used it only in subzero temperature range and only needed to them 2 or 3 times during winter (I live in the New York City metropolitan area). So it did it’s job but I used it only in extreme cold weather.
