  • So much horsepower and torque!
Color: Black Finish
When my Evo cam bearing fell apart I replaced it with an Ultima 127. My Evo was running an Andrews cam with an S&S carb and had a few other tweaks that made it respectable. The difference was still night and day. This new motor is a beast! I’ve got 600 miles on it so far with no issues. Longevity is always a concern with higher compression engines, but I’m not racing it so I’m hopeful for a long-term relationship. The only installation issue was needing to fabricate a bracket for the coil, which was covered in the installation manual. It’s a snug fit for my ‘92 FLSTF. ... show more

  • Piece of garbage - save your money and go S&S. You'll regret this purchase
Color: Black Finish
Cheap lifters let go, pieces of metal sucked into the oil pump and shredded the gears. 450 miles on the engine. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. How in your right mind do you build a high performance engine and cheap out on the lifters? I completely restored the bike and that took me out of the 1 year joke of a warranty. And now the bike is back in the shop needing an engine rebuild. If I wanted to rebuild the engine i wouldn't have bought a drop in. If you like projects, buy this engine as it will leave you on the side of the road. What an embarrassment. ... show more

  • Completely different bike with this motor
Color: Black Finish
This motor will pull your arms out of socket, seriously this thing makes my Road King move like a liter bike. The only issue I have had so far was a bad stator that the installer caused (They tried to rig the wiring and wires got cut and shorted, stator was actually still good). Called Jirah Cycles and got the correct part number figured out in minutes, the lady I spoke with was awesome. This is too much motor for the Harley branded touring stockers, installed Avon Venoms (AV71/AV72) and stopped having issues hooking up. I also have the Ultima 6-speed and it is butter-smooth. Update:4/19/21 Motor is still going strong with zero issues. (Just did a 90 mile ride yesterday) have added a full batwing, lowers, Freedom exhaust, and tour pack. It make zero difference to this motor...used 1/2 gallon more gas on fill up than my buddies stock injected 1300 Honda Interstate. Run only premium. Update: 4/24/2022 Still no issues, still pulls just as hard. ... show more

  • My advise is to run colder plugs to help keep the engine cool

I bought this engine in late 04 or 05. This engine transformed my bike into a badass chopper that out ran crotch rockets

My buddy built this ‘99 Softail from a box of parts and added the Ultima 127, I don’t know the specs on what else he did, but this bike is fast. Like “zero to a hundred in about four seconds” fast. No issues so far, but I’ve only put a couple hundred miles on it so far as it has been winter since I got it. Love it! ... show more

I think that I would smoke this motor with my 80cc motorized bicycle. I be taking pink slips from seniors racing me on thier jazzy medical scooters. When they beat me i push 'em over and laugh at them. Real Talk!
