This set of large syringes works well. The plunger is easy to pull out and then push in. If you need the measurements on the side, they are visible and easy to read. I find them to be well made. Although they are technically for single use I think you can get multiple uses out of them depending on your application. Crafting for example, with a good wash and air dry, they can be used again. ... show more

I actually ordered the 200mL syringes, because a dozen uses sprang to mind right away, and many of them would benefit from the larger volume. They're individually packaged, which is a nice touch, and while they're marked "for single use only", I believe that is for healthcare or other more regulated environments. For home use, I had thought to use them—as some other reviewers have said—in the kitchen. Once I opened the first syringe, I quickly changed my mind. The seal on the plunger has a strong petroleum/rubber scent, and I wouldn't want to risk that impacting the flavor of anything I chose to inject into a pastry. That's fine, though, because they're great for metering water for plants, for example. But one of my favorite uses: cleaning all those reusable straws! I add some bottle cleaner (the tablets you've probably seen) to a 16oz. container, to help keep it concentrated. Then, I put a straw into the fluid, and used the syringe as a vacuum, drawing the cleaning solution up into the straw, and back out again. That scent I mentioned DID go away after doing this a couple times, and I was careful to fully rinse the straws out when I was finished. I'd recommend them for all sorts of crafts, for dispensing lubrication (make sure it's compatible with plastic and rubber), and for indoor plants that are particular about how much water they get. Science teachers could also find a lot of uses for these! I just can't necessarily recommend them for anything that you'd eat, unless you're certain that you've gotten that smell out. ... show more
