  • Good replacement breaker
Style: Circuit Breaker
Bought this to replace an old breaker for my heat pump that kept tripping. It fit right in and works fine, I do think the reason the old breaker kept tripping was because the lugs that hold the wire needed to be tightened. I did this before replacing breaker and it solved the problem. I'll keep it as a spare. ... show more

  • Works great - all old panels of any brand should be inspected -- there is no recall on FPC panels
Style: Circuit Breaker
Replaced a 40 year old breaker that started nuisance tripping when backup electric heat came on in a heat pump system. Problem fixed. Don't get conned that FPC panels have been recalled, are going to explode, can't buy insurance. Not true. Home Inspectors flag these based on the brand, and assume other panels are OK if they are some other brand, which is lazy and dangerous. As you can see MINE from 1983 with the inside panel off, there are no burned or melted wires, no warping or discoloration from overheating, the breakers are tight, they flip on and off without binding. All boxes should be checked and replaced if their condition warrants. If you are buying breakers I assume you know how to safely install them. ... show more

  • A perfect fit and better quality than my oem unit. 1 day shipping.

5 stars! My old ckt brkr was a 50 year old oem unit. This breaker is an exact fit and feels and looks better made. It required less than 3 minutes to install (DIY). The old brkr was black, this unit is gray.

  • Hard to find
Style: Circuit Breaker
Needed a new one of these 60-Amp circuit breakers to replace one that went out - old one kept tripping. These Federal Pacific ones are getting to be hard to find locally. The one I received was exactly what I needed and worked perfect. Now I once again run my clothes dryer. Can't ask for more than that. ... show more

  • It fit and worked perfectly but I've had to replace my Federal Pacific service entrance due recall!
Style: Circuit Breaker
There is a recall for Federal Pacific circuit panels and breakers. If you need to upgrade service you won't pass inspection with a FPE panel!!!!!

  • It's working so far.....
Style: Circuit Breaker
At first I was skeptical that any Federal Pacific Electric Stab-Lok breaker patterned on the original design (regardless of the current maker) would ever work without quickly tripping (or getting super hot, or starting a fire) given their history. But so far this new breaker is working OK without getting super hot even when my heater/air handler's heat strips jump to the max temp right before the thermostat shuts down at the end of the cycle. Fingers crossed it will continue to work correctly. ... show more
