Description

To restore your vehicle's factory cooling efficiency, all TYC radiators are equivalent to OE construction for number and placement of fluid tubes and cooling fins. For those radiators with transmission oil coolers, the tanks are molded using heat-resistant, high-density polymer plastic for added protection against extreme engine temperatures. Each TYC radiator is leak-tested before leaving the factory to ensure consistent quality.

  • So far so good. Install was easy
So far so good. Install was easy, except for the tranny lines, but that was my cars fault (1999 Mustang V6) FYI, they have sleeve connectors with a portion of threads towards the end, and a smooth section towards the front. The problem is they dont just slide in to wear the threaded portion can grab anything. I had to use a flat head screw driver placed to the back of the nut on the sleeve where the trans line and sleeve meet. Then, hammer the end to where it goes in a little. Then I wiggled it in as much as I could, and repeated the hammering. Did this about five times each line. But thankfully, it worked. Had me stumped for a while. Made me wish I had those "quick disconnect" ford lines. At least they are better than these poorly engineered junk... typical ford IMO. Anyway, this is actually better than stock I think because the trans cooler line fittings on the radiator have a brass sealing(crush) washer, it appears. You can see the OEM one doesn't have the same pieces there. And, if you look up TSBs for this car, the factory had a sealing problem right there, which they reccommend you must take the radiator out, take those fittings attached to the radiator out, and install a set of purchased at Ford Only rubber sealing gaskets, made specifically for this engineering problem they've made. (many problems with ford like these it seems) So, these appear to have the extra protection here built in, which wasn't advertised. Huge plus!!! And, reason for the five stars. In addition to fast shipping and exact fit, these seem to be better made than the factory radiator by ford. I would highly reccommed to freinds or family. Update 5/10/17 Still works good ... show more

  • Good Fit
After installing the radiator I decided to revise my review of this item. It was a good fit for the Mustang and we had little difficulties installing it. However the seller behind this product is rude and will not help you if you do run in too a problem. This radiator seems of of good quality and since Amazon backs it up as prime, I would recommend you purchase this if you need it for your vehicle. ... show more
