Description

To restore your vehicle's factory cooling efficiency, all TYC radiators are equivalent to OE construction for number and placement of fluid tubes and cooling fins. For those radiators with transmission oil coolers, the tanks are molded using heat-resistant, high-density polymer plastic for added protection against extreme engine temperatures. Each TYC radiator is leak-tested before leaving the factory to ensure consistent quality.

Like several other reviews I read, I found this item to be a little shorter than the stock unit. This wasn't a problem for me since I knew it going in (from the other reviews) and I had the ability to make it work. I used two plastic caps off of 12 ounce Gatorade bottles... drilled a 3/8" hole in the center of each and put one on each hold down bracket for the radiator (between the radiator and the bracket - the plastic "dowel" on the radiator fits in the hole and protrudes to be centered in the bracket's rubber isolator). This way, the radiator fits and my CRV stays cool. ... show more

Ordered for 2000 Honda CR-V with auto transmission. Everything fit same as OEM. Does not come with a radiator cap so you'll need to order that separately if you don't have one.

    • Easy to install - went right in my 1998 CRV
I got this radiator cause my old one was leaking. This one was realy easy to take out. just disconnected the hoses and wires, unbolted it from the top and then pulled up and out. I had to rotate the old one to get it out - AC line would not let it come straight out. Then swapped the fans on to it and put it back in by rotating it again. In all it took about an hour. Dealer wanted 900 to put a honda one in. I would recomend the product. Only frustrating part was that I ordered it on a Sunday and it didn't ship out till Thursday, but I recieved it on Friday. I guess free shipping can cause a delay in Amazon shipping it out, but it did come quick. ... show more

Ordered this for our '99 CR-V which had a crack in the upper plastic part of the radiator. It went in fine and fit properly. So far (four days after installation) everything looks fine. One word of warning: after I installed it, I threw away the cardboard shipping box, which was when I saw that on the flap of the box they printed a note to tighten the nuts around the ports for the auto transmission fluid "because they may have come loose during shipping". I checked them and they seemed tight, no leaks so far. But this should really be checked before installation, because it's difficult to get there once it's in. ... show more

The radiator came well packaged. Quoted price verses suggested price, WOW. What a savings. Local store wanted minimum $130+. I like warranties and have used them in the past, however, this product came well packaged and slipped in with only one issue. The top lugs were slightly smaller than the originals. The neoprene bushings were where the issue arose. I cut a piece of vinyl tubing and done. Lower mounts ..... left them. My choice. Note to manufacturer ....... supply proper lower and upper neoprene bushings. ... show more

Works great so far and bolted up just like the OEM one. I used it on my 5 speed manual 2000 crv that doesn't need the oil coolant lines like the auto. seems to work fine after over a week of regular use.
