This mattress came in a slender box about the length of the mattress itself. When we pulled it out it expanded quickly on our bed. The weird thing is it was extremely heavy once it came out. But it wasn't that heavy while my husband carried it over his shoulder. The quality of this mattress is fabulous, the value for the money we paid is amazing, it doesn't get extremely hot so the temperature of it is great it's extremely comfortable and it makes zero noise. The RO REST ONLY Inner Spring Queen 10 inch Hybrid Mattress in a Box is an excellent mattress. I have to admit I was a little skeptical when I ordered the mattress as this was my first mattress in a box I had ever purchased. The mattress came in a long heavy box all rolled up and vacuumed sealed. I carefully opened the box and then took the mattress still sealed into the bedroom. I laid the mattress on the box spring and then opened the vacuumed package and the mattress opened quickly. I let it lay on the box spring for about three days before I did anything with it. I checked several times to see if it had any strange manufacturing smells and it did not. The mattress is to be used in a guest room and I wanted to see how comfortable it would be. I slept on it for two nights and it felt very comfortable to me. The best recommendation I can give the mattress is that last weekend my son and his wife came to visit and they slept on this mattress. On the second day my daughter in law asked if I could tell her where I purchased the mattress as they both felt it was very comfortable. That was all I needed to give this mattress a five star rating. They both sleep and a Purple mattress and they are much more expensive than this one. ... show more

    • A Foam/Spring Hybrid Mattress With Edge Support!
Rest Only’s Inner Spring 10 inch Queen Mattress comes to you rolled, wrapped, and compressed in a box. It clocks in at 81 lbs., so it’s best to have some help when you haul it inside. Unwrapping is easy, just cut carefully so as not to damage the mattress material. You’ll reach a point where it will start to rapidly decompress, so make sure you’re clear of anything breakable. It’s pretty much ready to go 30 minutes after unwrapping, but it’ll be fully expanded within 72 hours. Another plus is that there was no chemical plastic smell. Most boxed mattresses I’ve had have been made completely of memory foam. In this case, you get springs on the bottom and memory foam on top. So in this case, you get the benefits of springs, which I actually prefer. I like the feel of memory foam, but having the springs push back, allowing you easily to roll around and off the bed — more so than memory foam. There’s also a cooling gel component in the foam to prevent you from overheating. What’s puts this ahead of almost all other foam mattresses is the reinforced edge support. With most foam mattresses, sitting on the edge requires one to brace themselves so they don’t slide off. The coil edge support keeps you in one place, allowing you to sit on the edge of the bed without bracing yourself, as you would on a traditional spring mattress. A top notch mattress that comes to your door conveniently compressed and wrapped and provides two excellent means of support (foam and springs) to give you an excellent night’s sleep.
