I love the mattress. It’s the best blind mattress I’ve ever gotten. It inflated in only a couple of hours, and started quickly as soon as I took it out of the bag. My only thing id like to make sure someone takes away from this is yes, it’s firm! I thought it was comfy, but I kept waking up with no relief from my back pain which I was hoping to alleviate with buying a new mattress. It’s still comfy, I still struggle to get out of bed in the morning (due to being comfy), but a pillow top mattress topper did the trick. Its great for the money either way. I wanted to wait awhile before providing a review until I really had the opportunity to check it out. I was skeptical when I first purchased. But I was desperate for a mattress that helps with my back and hip pain. Now full disclosure I am a big girl and I toss and turn A LOT all night and I’ve only ever had sleep number and spring style mattresses. When this mattress came in a long narrow box immediately thought I made a mistake. There was no way this would ease my pain let alone support my large body. But I followed the easy set up instructions and waited a full 72 hours to let the mattress fully expand. I have an exceptional sense of smell and am quite sensitive to chemical smells. While there was a slight smell for the first 24 hours, it went away quickly. My first night sleep was interesting. With previous mattresses I was not supported it felt like I was sleeping on top the mattress but with this one I found my position quickly and the mattress kind of hugged my joints and snuggled my body. I spent the night in the same position and when I woke up, I felt no aches or pain. I just felt rested and slept for a solid 9 hours. Usually I’m lucky to sleep for a couple hours at a time. I thought this was just a fluke. But months later I am still sleeping really well. I can sleep all night. No tossing and turning or waking up in horrible pain. As I said, I’m a big girl and I thought for sure this mattress would not be able to “bounce” back after each use but to my great surprise. It does. I was also concerned about the mattress causing me to overheat, but I have not had any issues with that. The only thing that caught me off guard was how quiet, absorbent and heavy the mattress is. I have a cat. With my old mattress, when she moved or jumped I could hear and felt it. But now I can barely tell it also feels as though the matter has absorbed noise (as weird as that sounds). Shoutout to this company and Amazon! I ordered my son's 8 inch FDW Twin Mattress on August 19 and it was expected to be delivered on August 26. I was cool with that, but was secretly hoping it would come a few days earlier so that I could get his new bed set up and open the mattress to let it fully expand over the suggested 72 hour period in time for my son's week-on with me. My mattress was delivered on August 21! I was able to open it today (August 24) after assembling his bed frame and the mattress is darn near already fully expanded. It still has time to fully expand before my son gets here which is great! No drama opening it. No odors. It feels really good to the touch...firm and soft at the same time. I'll come back in a few months after my son has used it to give an update. It is the only reason I did not rate this mattress a 5. ... show more

product came 1 day earlier than estimated. I was concerned that even though reviews says medium firm, it might be too soft - like just multiple layers of topper type material - but it's not too soft. It is soft and conforming at the upper most level, but is still firm at middle and lower layers - feels great. The mattress re-constituted itself in about 20 minutes. It comes with a cover, but I wanted to get bug encasement cover around too, which was a little bit difficult because the mattress 'recovered' so quickly and was full size as I finished stretching the new outer cover over it. It was about 65 pounds - so I needed a hand truck to get it into the bedroom. Need to be somewhat careful when opening the box and the plastic wrappings, to make sure you do not cut the cover material. Overall very happy! ... show more

When this arrived I was worried that it would take me days to complete, however once I got both boxes opened and sorted out all the parts it only took me about 3 hours to complete. Took me 2 hours just to attach it to the wall. But what I really want to say is how easy the steps made the entire bed very easy to assemble. I did this in one night and the next day I attached it to the wall. This is where it got tricky. The hollow wall anchors that comes with it sucked. I went and got some toggle bolts and used those every where I couldn't find a stud. Where I did find a stud I drilled an additional hole and screwed in 2 lag screws. This made it really sturdy. Once I did this the bed became super stable and sturdy. Pulled the bed up and down several times and have no worries about it falling over. Great product. ... show more

This was my first 'mattress in a box' situation and it did not disappoint! It came rolled up in a box and within 10 mins of opening had fully formed. I would say this mattress as a medium feel, with a decent amount of give without sagging. I added a foam/pillow topper to my mattress but even without that it would've been comfy to sleep on.
