After exhaustive research, I opted for the 600 instead of the 700 series. This is my first review; these are SO AWESOME I felt impelled to sing the praise. The DURABILITY/tactile quality of the power & mode buttons was the first thing I noticed—no cheap, loose clicking w lesser-quality plastic (for a more ‘modern’ look). The dongle is INCREDIBLY strong; I’ve not once lost connection in a really big room. Then the ergonomics: Both cups have a forward-/rearward-turning axis to fit the shape of *anyone’s* coconut. The padding breathes well, comfy as all get-out, and even has a gap for us who wear glasses! The SOUND & options: “Super-Human Hearing” mode is a shockingly effective and great for shooters & stealth ... even has a “Vocal Boost” setting you can add to it. Bass- and treble-boosts, solid sound quality at all frequencies. I’m just truly surprised how much these exceeded my already good expectations. These could be priced almost double MSRP and they’d be worth it. Highly recommend these for all gamers. ... show more

I started out with the LUCIDSOUND LS31. It was defective out of the box. I replaced it with the SONY PLAYSTATION GOLD. The sound quality was good but you don't get GAME CHAT and GAME AUDIO at the same time. You have to pick one or the other! Sony tech line said that's just the way it is.... Going on the advise of a couple of friends who use the TURTLE BAY STEALTH 600 I purchased this one just before giving up. It works beautifully! You can adjust the GAME CHAT and GAME AUDIO according to your liking. Good quality construction. The only complaint I have is that all of the ADJUSTMENTS are on the left side (I'm right handed) so it takes some getting used to. ... show more

Ordered these based on a recommendation from a friend. Wasn't dissapointed at all. The quality is perfect for hearing footsteps in games where its necessary and they even have a function to boost the sound to hear these important cues ( Though I dont use that too much ). Also has a bass and treble boosters so you can customize the sound even further. They are very comfortable to wear for extended amounts of time and the mic is very precise and easily muteable by flipping up the microphone that you speak into.     • Good headset after firmware update

The headset works very well AFTER you update the firmware. Otherwise you sound like a robot and the audio drops out constantly. Thankfully the firmware update is pretty painless however I had issues with windows 10 installation but my older laptop with windows 7 worked fine. One other annoyance is the B.S. “super human hearing” setting which allows you to hear footsteps. When in reality the headset just artificially turns down these frequencies on every other setting besides the “super human hearing” setting to give the appearance of improvement. My previous $30 headset I could hear footsteps perfectly fine but now they are completely inaudible when not in the “super human hearing” on this headset. That being said using this setting does sound very good and gives great spatial awareness. Turtle beach must think people are pretty stupid though to not notice this little farce. The headset works relatively well. I was able to connect the headset and update it, however there are intermittent popping noises in the left earpiece and while playing online the mic will stop transmitting my voice more often than I would have liked for a $100 headset. Similarly, the sound transmitted from my PS4 to headset was very spotty prior to updating the headset. Still some breaks in sound but not as bad. The range is OK. I am able to walk around my living room while staying connected, however as soon as I lose line of sight with my PS4 I lose the signal. Sometimes to the point where I have to restart my headset to reconnect. Again, not a huge issue, but I was hoping for more flexibility with the mic considering, through word of mouth, I heard very positive things about the range and connectivity over great lengths. The sound is good and the headset is comfortable. It works well to be a nice headset but not well enough to be worth $100 dollars. Not with the pops, disconnections, and wimpy range. ... show more

Amazing. I like the mic that you need to pull down to unmute and to mute you push up. Tofu. The wireless is good, battery lasts long, but youll definitely need to charge after 10 hours of play. Its time to chew bubble gum....and im all out of gum.

I use these headphones for everyday gaming and they work great, the superhuman hearing works well in FPS games such as Rainbow Six Siege or Modern Warfare. Works great for single player games as well. I used them playing the last of us part 2 and the sound quality is great! If you live in apartments or close housing or you just want to be able to hear better in the game then these are the ones for you ... show more
