This was fun to try but the sauce was a little too sweet for my daughter and I. For the second pack I might use the rice cakes with a different sauce and I will boil them first.

This is a nice, quick, tasty, and easy food. It was so tasty I added onion and garlic powder. EAT WHEN HOT IF U DON'T WAT IT TO BE CHEWY! as it gets colder it will get more chewy so eat it quick! But overall it was really tasty and I would buy it again!

Great value for thr money, and they are perfectly chewy, delicious, and SPICY! Please, I need y'all to stop being shocked that they are "a bit on the spicy side". idk what y'all expect from KOREAN food. Anyway, will buy again and again! (Making my own sauce is a pain lol)

Actually tastes pretty authentic.

I lived in South Korea for a time and was missing this flavor. My expectations were low buying this as a prepackaged food but it tasted great and definitely brought the heat! Will order again the next time I crave it.

This flavor of tteokbokki is delicious, I have ordered it multiple times and it never disappoints, always good quality and very easy to make, even if the packaging is mostly in a foreign language. I think I like it more than the original flavor!

It is delicious, cheese flavor is our fave - but the squishy texture is really fun, very satisfying. I’d give it 5 stars if it were healthier.

buy if you’re only willing to buy.
Flavor Name: Cheese
I noticed the reviews on this list and I couldn’t help but wonder about those complaining about how chewy these little rice cakes are, also about how “expensive” they are. If you were located in a foreign place, any food outside of the United States will be a bit more, however, this is only $12-14 fo
r two serving I’m glad they’re not too known for their prices to rise. It’s not really a luxury, it’s your choice to buy and something you’ll most likely earn back, this is an honest review for those thinking it’s too expensive for two small servings. Portion sizes are not the same over there as it is over here in the United States, you cannot expect the same because in the states, the portions are much larger sizes compared to other countries. Clarification for those out there, it’s okay if the taste is weird, that’s fine your own opinion, however please put more consideration and research toward something like this. Rice cakes are suppose to be chewy, and if you’re picky or have a slight thought toward certain textures, then please understand this is much on the chewier side unless you cook it for less and perhaps should avoid this kind of food. Overall, I think this tastes wonderful, it’s much better if you add additional ingredients as well to your own preference so it’s just not the sauce packet they provide. This portion amount is perfect on the go and is excellent to be seen as a snack, I’ve seen other products much more expensive and have tried many other companies of rice cakes and flavors. This one is my personal favorite and can be filling to those of a petite size, the flavor is somewhat more different than other cheese flavors so I quite enjoy that. It’s best while hot so don’t waste it and leave it out for too long :) it’s not really a breakfast/lunch/dinner item, you can have this whenever you want to appropriate timing as a snack or the get go. If you are planning to get this, don’t think the flavor is something like super cheesy or incredibly hot, however it may be for some. I’ve seen reviews elaborate on how spicy this is, I for one don’t really think so and I have low tolerance for spices, but everyone is different. Don’t try this is you are doubtful or unwilling to try new things and expect similar characteristics to your own country. Be open minded and try other flavors as well, this is my most favorite compared to the other ones as this reminds me of something super little me will die for in my childhood. I’m glad I got to try this out and already bought a couple of more other packages. - lily.

Chewy rice cakes in a rich, if artificial cheese sauce
Flavor Name: Cheese
As someone who hasn't had the chance to eat authentic Tteokbokki at a Korean restaurant, I purchased these to see what the hype was about. The rice cakes are delightfully chewy and bouncy, probably my favorite part of the whole dish. The cheese sauce is as expected, very cheesy and well seasoned with
visible parsely. However, I found that it left an almost waxy feeling in the mouth as most products made with "synthetic cheddar cheese flavor" (quoted from packaging) do. If you're the type of person looking to watch their consumption of artificial flavors and preservatives? This isn't for you, but for everyone else they offer a comforting junk-food like quality that lifts the spirits and blood pressure alike. In terms of bang for your buck, gotta dock it on points here. A pack of two contains four, 340 calorie servings totaling 1360 and costs around 13.70 so you get effectively 100 calories per dollar. Comparing this to many other food, particularly rice (20 lb bag for 10.24$ is 1154 Calories per pound) and pastas shows how little nutrition you actually get for the cost. Would only buy it again on sale.

My kids have seen these a lot on YouYube and were dying to try them. The prep is very easy - boil water, plop all ingredients in, and simmer until it thickens. They've tried the cheese one and liked it a lot; next up is sweet and spicy. It's sort of a fun take on Mac and cheese with a bit more spice.
