This is a great lens...especially for the price. I bought it for the Sony a6700. This isn't my only wide-angle 14mm lens, I have a Samyang 14mm for my A7R3, which is amazing but a little heavy. The TT lens is light and a perfect match for the A6700. Get yourself one of these...you won't regret it!

This is a review of the 14mm f/3.5 for Fujifilm X. The lens was inexpensive at $129 new, and surprisingly good. Color rendition is fine. Contrast is a little low. Sharpness falls off slightly in the corners and there is a bit of vignetting; stopping down to f/8 helps. Autofocus works and is reasonably quick for still photography. The optics are obviously not as good as the Fujifilm XF 14mm f/2.8, but the TTArtisan is only one-eighth the price and also much smaller and lighter.

I bought this “cheap” lens for my old Sony Nex-7 for my daughter to take on a trip through Europe. Today this is one of the photos she took. I had my “fancy” new Sony A7Cii with $1,200 lens and the photos she took with the $159.99 lens had more depth of light, color and a dreamy look for portraits and landscape on “auto” mode than any of the photos I took today. Amazing lens, super lightweight and almost pancake style making the old Nex-7 a winner in any setting. Wow.

I used this 50 mm manual lens on my Sony a7R4. It came in a nice box. It’s light. The cap screws on and I found this a bit unusual. It is a totally manual lens so auto focus did not work. It took time and patience to capture focus (user issues not the lens :)) The photos came out ok. This is probably my least favorite lens. I uploaded a sample of my unedited RAW picture. The lens is ok but won’t be my go to. I had a hard time getting the lens off of my camera body so I subtracted a star. I didn’t like the angst it invoked. If you are looking for an inexpensive 50 mm, you might want to try this.

There is a little vignetting which can be edited, or add to your photos if you’re intending. But the photo quality is excellent for a small street setup. Really happy with the photos and focal length.

This lens will reward you with very good images if you’re patient with focusing which isn’t difficult at f/4 and higher. Focusing at less than f/4 will take a bit of practice. Image quality is on par with my XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 at equivalent settings which was a pleasant surprise. Considering its almost pancake size (basically the same size as the XF 27mm f/2.8), very good image quality and fast f/2 aperture this is an excellent general use short telephoto lens. As someone that started photography with a film camera and all manual lenses I get a pleasant, nostalgic feeling using this lens. No doubt it will get a lot of use. Highly recommended.

I think this is a solid lens to learn how to compose your images. This might be a lens aimed towards beginners/hobbyists, and I do think it's an excellent lens for that purpose. For under $100, this is amazing! The entire lens is built out of metal, and there isn't any other competitors that seem to offer the same features that TTartisan does. Do be aware that images tend to get sort of blurry when you hit the F2 mark. It's not quite visible at first, but when you do zoom in to your images you will see that letters, for example, will have a sort of haze effect surrounding it, which does make the image look cheap. So that's why I took off a star. Other than that, it's totally worth the price. 4/5 Stars
