I happened to be on the Potomac River and pulled this out on an overcast day. I just kept catching fish. I purchased three of these but never needed to used the other two. I bounce it off rocks, caught several 17+ inch smallies. I've used the other versions of this and always had trouble with line twist and keeping the action going. Besides running into leaves, it ran straight and true with no line twist. For two straight days. Most importantly, the price was right compared to the other two name brand versions of this item. My fault but it smacked a dock poll with it and it broke it off they are a hard rubber other then that they work great only got a bass the size of it after a full season of using all of them kinda crazy

Wow, this past weekend I gave these to my good friend to use on his annual big fish tournament and after a member landed a five pounder before they got in their boat it was looking down. A cast long cast into the deep and kaboom! The fight was on and when that monster shook its head it put the field in shock at the boat and weigh in 9.45pounds! I spend a decent amount of time fishing and I have accidentally hit the wall with my other Lures but with this one, I casted with enough power to make it 10 feet if that, and the side of the tail dented and broke off from the main body still together, but hanging on the hook might want to put some consideration into trees and other surrounding areas before casting of this product ... show more

I’ve got a couple Choppos and they are fantastic. They don’t produce the numbers of a senko or jig but it’s much more exciting catching em on a topwater. I saw these and was skeptical they would work since they are much cheaper than choppos or whopper ploppers, but I can say they catch fish. Throw it at sunrise or sunset and you’ll get bit. If you’re sick of losing expensive lures in the trees give these a shot. I bought these after losing a couple of whopper ploppers and couldn’t justify the expense of another just to hang it in a tree. They definitely catch fish, however, I knocked down a star due to some inconsistency in the action between each lure that was in the pack. They don’t have quite have the consistent action of their brand name counter part. The other issue is the overall build they definitely won’t hold up well to regular wear and tear but that’s really a non issue for me as these lures seem to be tree magnets for me anyway. ... show more
