So I opened the box and went to put the spoiler together only to find that each hole had plastic blocking off the bottom of it. This might’ve been okay with the M6 x 6mm bolts supplied previously but I was supplied with 8 M6 x 16mm and 2 M6 x 25mm. These bolts are a good size but in order to get everything to actually assemble I had to drill out every hole. I put tape about 1/4” up a 1/8” drill bit and drilled them all out. I opted not to use the adhesion promoter glue and used weather stripping however 1/4” thick weather stripping proved to be too thick so go for 1/8”. Template was great, used a 1/4” but for the holes instead of a 9mm. I added blue thread sealant to every bolt and it’s great. Good color match and holds up at 85+ mph. Did not come with sponge gaskets or weather sealant. ... show more

5/19/20 Edit: Two years later and the wing is in great shape as is the paint. I’m adding a photo I found in my notes of what was on the instructions that came for supplies that I used as a guide. Also adding a photo of the yellow zinc M6x6 bolts that came with the wing I decided not to use, vs the serrated flange hex bolts I used instead (I went with silver stainless on all bolts instead of the two black bolts). Also adding a recent photo. The weather strip tape I mentioned below does keep water out of the wing and trunk. I will note I later added blue threadlocker on the bolts because they kept needing to be re-tightened. Be careful not to over tighten the bolts however, because you CAN bend/bow the trunk metal in underneath the wing base, and or it might be possible to pop the embedded nut inside the wing from the plastic from holding the bolt(s). Paint matches perfect. Wish the screw plate covers on the underside on the sides came painted; they are dark colored/black. The drilling/trunk template it came with was accurate (measured to make sure before drilling holes). The hardware they sent didn’t match what was mentioned for “supplies needed” on the template instructions (instructions were very vague and general - I watched a video by SubieShakedown of how to mount it instead). Was also missing the mentioned “sponge gasket” and double-sided tape. I just bought weather sealing tape and lined the bottom of the wing and inside where the screw covers go. Seems to be working to keep it protected from rain or any water from getting in. They sent all 6mm serrated hex flange bolts with washers and four self tapping screws. I instead bought two 16mm and two 25mm flange bolts for the attachment of the wing to the trunk, since I didn’t want to trust tiny 6mm screws to hold on the wing while driving at high speeds... Required some custom drilling of the wing’s screw holes which were plugged up with plastic in order to get the longer bolts all the way in. Also the 25mm bolts helped with reaching through the two holes going through double walls in the trunk... We drilled small pilot holes in the trunk first and finished up with a 7/32” drill bit designed for metal, which was a better fit for the screws than 1/4” would’ve been as in the video we watched. The instructions didn’t mention what size hole to drill. All in all, once we got it on there I’m happy with it. Have had it on about a month. It’s held up so far going at highway speeds and faster (75+ mph) and driving with moderate to strong winds. ... show more

Overall the product was great, came in 2 weeks, paint match was perfect, and assembling it only took about 1-2 hours to build. There were some slight scratches on the paint like in the corners but it’s barely noticeable. It also did not come with the molding or the sponge tape. We ended up using a black adhesive sealant in replacement of the tape. So far the wing seems stable but we’ll have to see. Overall looks great on the car! ... show more

THE GOOD: Paint match is awesome, packaged well, no chips or cracks anywhere, template works great. THE BAD: All the holes needed to be drilled out and cleaned for the supplied screws. I also didn’t receive the double sided tape or the foam seal and had to order it separately

Significant less amounts of pearl in paint and it’s off in shade. Came scratched straight from manufacturer some just surface, but some completely took the paint away. Not mad but not happy

I purchased the painted Crystal white pearl version. I am torn between 3 or 4 stars. The prep work before paint was sloppy, there are some spots that have not been fully covered. Other spots are dirt stuck under the paint or scratches/marks in the plastic before the paint. There's also some fine hairline cracks in the paint in one corner but I couldn't get it on camera. Havent mounted it yet because the seller did not include the double sided tape or the "sponge gaskets". How ever, I am very impressed with the paint matching. Perhaps I'll buy some touch up paint and try to correct the marks in the future. ... show more
