I have installed these types of products on all my truck beds with no issues. This was the first time I purchased this brand and install was quick and easy. However, after a week, I noticed the bolt holding the shock on the tailgate bent. Whether this was a bad part or just a bad product I haven't determined. Solid little kit but instructions suck .and nothing was the size they said it was . Few extra trips to the toolbox but easy enough to install May need to change out the shock in the future helps with lowering the tailgate but no help raising it
