This is by far the best trolling motor connector I've come across. 48v 50A is a lot of power delivery. The one handed ergonomics are great. The right angle plug is very solid, gives you room for your fingers behind it, places your thumb within reach of the locking ring. Push to connect and lock in one motion. Nearly as easy to release. Much less effort than Anderson SB series, my previous favorite. No special crimper tools required. The wires are all made up for you and well molded into the plug and socket body. They even pretinned the wire ends for us. I'd happily pay more for another of the same connector with longer wires, but this is good enough for my first project. ... show more

This plug has heavy duty wiring, a plus and a minus. It's great once it's installed, and should hold up to some abuse. But getting it wired into my trolling motor was tough because the wire was so thick it required the large, heavy wire connectors supplied with the plug. This connector was SO heavy that I had to get my 18 inch Channel Locks to flatten it enough to hold the wires (and even with that it was tough.) I added some shrink wrap over the connectors and then added electrical tape to ensure the connection endures (I sure don't want it pulling apart!) But once installed the plug works great. I have a trolling motor with no on/off switch, and it has several lights (showing how much power is left in the batteries) which stay lit unless I disconnect it from the batteries. It's been a pain, as the batteries are located below a seat in the boat and they have multiple wires held in place by wing nuts. If I didn't disconnect the trolling motor, the batteries would slowly drain between outings. With this plug I can now quickly and easily disconnect the motor after each use. It is easy to plug together and to take apart, and holds together well while in use. A great addition to my boat setup! ... show more

I prefer this style connector for the twist lock sleeve so it doesn't come unplugged by accident. This 90 degree angled connector is a lot less likely to trip over and break off. This set has heavy gauge wire and all the necessary hardware is included. There is even a rubber gasket to keep water splashes out of your battery box. They included lock washers for the 2 mounting screws. Butt splices are included but it is better to solder it in if you are able. ... show more

This works for DIY power stations - I buily a rather large 400AH lifepo4 solar generator for fun based on some youtube videos. It rolls around in a big old wheeled toolbox. I have put MC4 connectors on the other end allowing me to hook up 4 100watt solar suitcases in parallel to my DIY power station's MPPT. It works great - sturdy and can handle the amperage without an issue. Feels so much more reobust that SAE connectors and flush mounts better than MC4 on the box ... show more
