This is a near exact match (except longer of course) for the stock rear shock on a Razor MX650. My son and I put a pit bike front fork on it and it needed to be leveled out in the rear, and this shock fit the bill - however it was way too stiff, the stock spring weight being 650lbs and this being 1000lbs. I removed the plastic bushings from the adjustable end of the stock shock, and used a hammer to persuade the metal tube out of the end of the shock. Then I was able to unscrew the preload adjuster all the way off the shock, and remove the smaller spring. Same process on the new shock, swapped the stock spring to the longer shock and reinstalled. Sits much more level now, and with the smaller spring it is reasonably supportive for the kids. And me. Not sure how long it will last as the preload adjuster is definitely all the way at the top of the threads making the whole shock less stable, but for the price you can't go wrong. Keep a stockpile of extras! The front fork is hydraulic now, so an upgraded rear spring will definitely be in the future... ... show more
