  • Effective in trained hands
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
This trigger point tool was very effective for releasing tight muscles once I figured out the correct situations and methods for use. The plunger itself doesn't require a lot of force to trigger; about the same 'strength' as opening a can, and the wings are wide enough that even users with some level of disability in the hand should be able to use. The sensation of the stimulator is both mechanical and electrical. It feels about like like a flick, rubber band snap, or joke buzzer in terms of discomfort. Of note, if you're using it on someone else and don't have it positioned correctly and are using a second hand to brace, you will sometimes feel an electrical jolt in the hand not on the device. This device seems to function in the same situations as a tens machine would be used, but if you have to choose only one this is easier to operate successfully. The outcome is best if you look at a diagram of the muscles in the location where it hurts. Then position the stimulator at the top end of the insertion point (where the muscle is pulling towards). Trigger several times until the muscle fatigues and releases. If you use it and don't seem to get a result, go back to the muscle diagram and think about the problem like trying to untangle knots in a string. Start by treating the sore spots furthest from the problem first so they don't pull on the spot you just released and re-tighten. One final note, to achieve the stimulator sensation I had to have the device perfectly perpendicular to the skin surface and pressed in fairly hard so it made good contact with the muscle fibers. For most people, it will be difficult to treat the upper body by oneself so plan to have help or look at a different mode of treatment. ... show more

  • Not really impressed
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I bought this thinking maybe it would help, but I find it hard to find the points for the problems I would like to treat. I think someone with more experience or someone who is not a perfectionist like me, might find it more useful.

  • Stopped working after a few uses. Not the same quality as one from years ago.
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
When I started using this, the spark was not near as strong as the one I had years ago. After using it now 6 or 7 times, the spark is completely gone. Don't waste your money on this.

  • GREAT FOR DEGENERATIVE DISEASE!!!!!
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Nursing student here to give you a real and RAW review! If you’re like me and have chronic 5+ years of degenerative disk disease pain- This. Is. for YOU!!! I get trigger point injections with my pain management doctor every two months, chiropractor adjustments and massages… but it’s simply not enough. Yoga, stretching, and exercise can only do so much. Trigger points are the key to the relief people like me are craving! I have moderate to mild herniations from T5-L5 so my traps, rhomboids, erectors (all between shoulder blades), are always so tight and straight up in distress. Same thing with my right lower back. Idk what this magic sorcery is, but I’ve been interested in holistic medicine, and Chinese remedies and came across this. I figured what’s $20 if it doesn’t work I’ll just return. Boy- I’m so glad that’s not what happened!!! My muscles are always spazzing, and this little electrical pulse wakes up the right nerves. It comes with a small pamphlet outlining all triggerpoints across the body, so it can show you any and everything that things are connected to. This DOES NOT hurt. Nor does it even feel like an electrical stimulation like the tens unit. The trigger itself makes a small click. This small electrical pulse is probably best for chronic pain, if you have a “knot” or any kind of acute muscle injury you should try it, but I can’t guarantee this is your answer. All I can say is, this is WORTH A TRY! ... show more

  • Excellent customer service,
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
The stimulator worked well for me for activating trigger points. My unit broke after two days. I contacted the seller through their website and received a immediate response and a new unit was placed in the mail. This stimulator and the seller are excellent.

This item has saved THREE dogs on my friends ranch from rattle snake bites. They punch around the bite and it stops the venom from spreading.
