The cover came deeply wrinkled from shipping and a normal wash and tumble dry was not enough to remove them. I love the rich gold color and how incredibly soft this duvet cover is. It looks beautiful on my bed. It seems to be well made. I haven't had a reason to wash it yet. Hopefully it holds up. I almost didn’t buy this because of the comments, but then I realized that THESE PEOPLE DIDN’T REALIZE ITS A DUVET, not a comforter. As long as you have a duvet insert, it’s perfect. It’s a true emerald (dark) color. I really hate that it made the rating lower because people don’t read.

I am a huge fan of velvety textures and was looking for something to take our bedroom into the Christmas season. I thought this burgundy duvet cover was just the ticket. It is a beautiful, rich burgundy velvet …on one side. The other side is not the same fabric, though a coordinated color makes it feel a bit less luxurious than it could have been had both sides been the same velvety fabric. And don’t get me started on the use of white buttons instead of a coordinating color button. (Why?). I would have paid more for the duvet to have those two things corrected. I bought this pricey set in hopes that the blanket would be thicker, but it's really thin. In the picture it looks thick, but it wasn't. So just a heads up, the material is soft, but blanket is not for cold weather.
