  • Joystick is a gimmick; otherwise, I like it.
The sensitivity on the mouse is higher than I'm used to, but I find that it's a good thing. It glides easily, and I'm having some trouble adjusting for precision clicking, but that will improve in time. The Page Forward button is a little out of reach without adjusting to have the tips of my finger hang off or having my wrist twisted a little more, but it can still be useful as a secondary button in games. The ergonomic feel is actually quite nice, but I've needed to readjust how my hand sits on the mouse—instead of my hand sitting with my index on lmb and my middle on rmb as I've done in the past, I need to have index on lmb, middle on the scroll wheel, and ring on rmb. Otherwise, my ring finger drags and my pinky has to be popped out like a fancy lad sippy some glorious tea. I think I would have that problem with any vertical mouse due to the size of my hands, though. Back to the headline, though, the joystick really is just a gimmick to me. I think it could be a cool addition with its mapping on wasd, allowing a player to have more control over some games' really bad keybindings and needs for tons of hotkeys. Unfortunately, the joystick is not /that/ helpful in games, as it seems to not have a function to have more than one of the directions active at a time. For example, you cannot push the stick to the upper-left to be activating forward-left movement. Either the game doesn't respond at all or just maintains the direction you may have initially activated, such as continuing forward because you press up then moved the stick leftward. I definitely wasn't expecting it to function like a controller/gamepad's analog stick, but I was expecting diagonal movement, and I can't seem to get that to happen. If another has managed it, then do teach me your skills. It's at least cute, though. Maybe the joystick can be useful for light adjustments for a sniper or something similar, but it's not good for normal movement. ... show more

  • Where have you been my whole life?!?!?!
If you're still using a regular Mouse after seeing this item just walk into a wall and punch yourself in the face this thing is amazing. I bought it in one of those little half gaming keyboards so that I can play Baldur's Gate and it's just the best thing ever as a have a reclining massage chair I have a little lap table top and it just is perfect together the responsiveness is great the fact that it's got the joystick so I can literally play the game one-handed instead of using my left hand for the wsad keys I mapped my camera rotation to the bottom two buttons exactly where my thumb is resting it just worked out perfectly I couldn't ask for a better product and my wrist and arm don't get tired from being twisted. And yes I know it has a cord everything I own has a cord cuz I don't trust Wireless I don't need some guy parked outside in a van recording the movements of my mouse God damn it it's bad enough the CIA is tracking me through my cavities okay ... show more

  • Good quality mouse!
I recently bought this mouse because of pain in my wrist, and let me tell you that it was the best purchase I've ever made! Starting with ergonomics, its just amazing, really great on the wrist, and is a nice shape that you don't even need to use your thumb to grip. For quality of material its very much on the high end of materials, the plastic used for the grip feels great and the clicks for the mouse buttons are amazing! They don't have any odd sounds, its just a simple click. I really like the inclusion of the joystick on the top, though I wish it was more similar to an xbox controller where you can vary your speed. The scroll wheel is top quality and has an interesting design that lets you know how far you've scrolled it. The software that came with the mouse is on a disk, though in some spots its poorly translated to english. Overall its a really good mouse though it'll certainly take some time getting used to if you've been using a standard mouse for about 5-20 years. ... show more

  • Great mouse but limited to its software
The quality of the mouse is good. Has an ok DPI but the main features are limited to the installed software. Macros cannot be set unless the software is installed and running. They are not saved to the mouse itself so any customization set on the mouse will not transfer over to another computer unless the computer has the software installed as well and set to the same specifications. From a gaming aspect, this mouse is not bad. It gets the job done well if personalized in the software. The 5D Rocker does have a bit of a delay depending on the game/application. For programming this mouse is great. The 5D Rocker can be customized to be used for copying and pasting with ease. With customized macros, the keyboard usage for shortcuts was drastically limited. ... show more
