Description

Kids who love video games will love this third installment of the new 5-book series about 12-year old Jesse Rigsby and the wild adventures he encounters inside different video games. The robots are here and they're not happy, at all. After accidentally releasing the robot villains from Super Bot World 3 into the real world, Jesse Rigsby's got to figure out a way to make everything right before anyone gets hurt. He'd usually rely on his friend Eric to help him with this sort of thing, but he's gone missing. To find Eric, Jesse will have to survive rickety mine carts, sewer piranhas, mysterious men in suits, and a 100-foot-tall robot named Goliatron. This is Jesse's most dangerous adventure yet because this time the video game is real. And in the real world, there are no extra lives. Read more

  • Action-packed ...with LOTS of robots!
As with the first two installments in this series, I finished this quickly -- the reading level is clearly aimed at late-elementary and tween readers. It somehow managed to offer even more action than the prior volumes, though I'm grateful for the moments that allowed me a breather. It picked up immediately from Book 2's ominous cliffhanger; but here, instead of a PokemonGo take, the focus was robots -- not just giants, but sizes ranging down to that of insects. Speaking of which, I appreciated how a newcomer brought in a presence that nearly reminded me of BB-8 from "Star Wars." Not only that, it was refreshing for me to see another introduction break the, shall we say, boy-centric tone of the series. One instance of raw, lonely despair was unexpected -- I'd almost deem it a bit risky for kid-oriented literature. Yet I welcomed it because it injected a dose of realism to all the sci-fi/fantasy goings-on. ... show more

  • Best series ever for boys!
Buy this book and the rest of the series! So fun for parent and child! It keeps you guessing what will happen next! Lots of plot twist. So glad to find this series my son enjoys. Most books are too girly for his interest. Buy it!!!!!

  • Great series
My soon to be ten year old loves this series! The occasionally pictures are nice, but it's really the writing that keeps him engaged. He rarely gets excited about books so let me stress how great they are especially for a video game lover.
