I've been using the Cricut brand transfer tape since I got my machine about a month ago and it was sooo frustrating! Somehow it was both too sticky (left a thick residue behind) AND not sticky enough (difficult to pull the vinyl up off its original backing)! Decided to try a different brand before giving up, and this stuff is a game changer! Easy to use, grabs the vinyl easily, and leaves little to no residue behind. I’ve used this brand before (medium tack) with great results so when I needed a heavier tack I went with their product again. No issues as expected and highly recommend this (used on a glitter vinyl).

This stuff works way better than cricut brand transfer tape with the cricut vinyl. The cricut brand I always struggled a bit with. This stuff did a wonderful job for my most recent vinyl project. It picked up the vinyl without much issue and released it smoothly on the surface I was putting it on. Never buying name brand again. ***This is an updated review. I'm leaving the original 2-Star review below for full disclosure. I actually hated this so much that after my 4th use, I tossed it in the trash before I finished my latest project. Then I accidentally stumbled on the key to making it work and quickly retrieved the almost full roll back out of the trash. I was obviously ignorant of how to properly use transfer tape! If you put the tape on and then try to pull it off at a 90 or 45 degree angle to your base material, it isn't going to stick. You're apt to utter innumerable profanities and toss it in the trash (ask me how I know). HOWEVER; if you pull it off at an almost 180 degree angle to your base material, it comes off like magic and brings your base vinyl off like a charm! It was so easy to use after I figured out the problem! It isn't perfect, but I haven't met a transfer tape that was perfect yet (though evidently I never knew how to properly use any of them). It is really good transfer tape at a really good price point! I saw the video of the lady trying to use this product and getting frustrated because it wouldn't stick to the vinyl she was trying to move. I decided to give it a try anyhow since it gets good reviews overall. I wish I hadn't. For me this product isn't sticking to the vinyl I'm trying to use it on. So far it's been unhelpful with holographic thread vinyl, regular outdoor vinyl and also repositionable vinyl. In other words, I've used it on 3 different types of vinyl before making my review and it hasn't worked on any of them. I definitely won't buy this product again...but I see by the reviews that it works for others. I ran the scraper along the front of the transfer tape and the back side of the vinyl (multiple times) using all the force I could and I still couldn't get the vinyl to stick to the transfer tape. Been using cricut since the very first one made. Have gotten really into vinyl with my newer model but using actual cricut transfer tape was horrible. Saw this on some influencer clips and thought I’d try it. So much easier! Made bridesmaid presents a breeze

Seems to be good. Worked very well for what I needed it for...laying out gauge locations for a custom dash panel. A little stickier than I was expecting. I think the description said "medium" stickiness. Not a big deal.
