  • Good SD Card
I'm rating this 3 stars because of the way it's advertised. The description says that it can get up to 95MB/s read and 45MB/s writing. I tested mine as soon as I got it with a PC and a USB connection where you plug the SD directly to an adapter, so a camera isn't involved. This is a V30 rated SD, and it meets that standard (writing at 30MB/s), but when I was writing a large file to it (about 3GB), which is a good simulation of being in a camera while making a video in HD or UHD, it averaged 31MB/s. So, it meets the V30 spec, but it's no better than that, so for my SD it's nowhere close to the description on Amazon where it says up to 45MB/s. If you were to look at the percentage of error in that statement, it's 50%, which is incredibly BAD. For reading, I went from this SD to a mechanical RAID that gives me close to 260MB/s writing, so plenty of speed to test the ability for reading off this SD. I only got 72MB/s reading off this and writing to the RAID. I then wrote to the RAID from another mechanical drive and I was writing at the speed that the other drive could read at, which is about 175MB/s. I do this kind of testing because it's real world, whereas running test software isn't. I also have Windows 7, still, and Windows 7 always shows you the average write time for the write op you are doing, so it's a great indicator of what happened over the entire write op. Since reading is listed at up to 95MB/s and I only got 72MB/s, the error there is about 25%. Mind you, this is an error in the description on the Amazon listing for this item, it may not be an error in what the manufacturer lists. Once again, this is a V30 SD which is only required to write at 30MB/s. I didn't bother trying to find out what the read speed is rated at by the manufacture, and they often won't list it anyway. What I do know is if I were a manufacturer and I gave specs., and my specs were off by 25% and 50%, I'd have a whole bunch of dissatisfied customers, many of who would be wanting to return the product. So, buy this item to save money, but don't think you're getting a great deal and you might actually be able to use this to capture UHD video in the more RAW formats that really require an SD that can capture at 45MB/s or higher, and this is certainly the case for different video capture formats for the newer DSLRs that are capturing UHD video. This is an older SD, so you also have to understand that age is affecting how long it will last you, so maybe it's better to simply buy the newer version of this product and pay a little more money. It you need to capture at something like 240-280Mbs, you're best off buying a V60 spec'd SD and pay the extra money, knowing your SD can keep up. Or, buy one that's proven to write at 45MB/s on average, and there are those out there, as it says so on the product. The only thing this product has on it that say anything about the speed is V30. ... show more

  • Works inside a Sony PXW-z190 (and Sandisk Extreme Pro Series will not)
The Sony PXW-Z190 is picky with it's recording media. It doesn't like San Disk Extreme Pro series cards, but it likes these cheap transcend cards. Go Figure. I'm happy.

  • Nice card for Sony a7iii
Very affordable cards for Sony a7iii - capable of recording 4k video. Write speed is ca. 45 MB/s; a bit slow but workable.

  • Don't Buy, You will be Disappointed!!!! Don't Buy Don't Buy Card worked one time!!!
Do not purchase this item. I am completely dissatisfied with this product. I used this card one day for approximately 100 pictures. The second time I used this in my camera, the display screen would not work and the camera would not take pictures. I assumed the battery in my camera was bad. I purchased a battery for my camera and had same issue. I took the card out, replaced it with an older smaller GB card, and the camera worked. Do not purchase this item. Do not purchase this item.
