Do you love tractors? Of course you do because they are a big working farm machine. Tractors “pull tools that help care for our crops.” It’s easy to see that tractors have great big tires that have grooves in them. Why do you think they are so big and have those grooves? Check out the farmer in the cab on that tractor. You can see that he is using a steering wheel to drive the tractor. If you look closely you can see that he has one foot on the pedals. Have you ever visited a farm to see tractors on the go? If not, you can check some out in this book. You can see many tractors at work on farms. The blue tractor has a plow hooked up to it that “turns over the dirt.” A red tractor is pulling a planter that “drops seeds into the ground.” If you take a close look at the planter you will see that it is a long one! When a crop is harvested a tractor might pull a cart. A red “tractor pulls a cart of harvested grapes.” You’ll also get to see several other tractors at work and on the go. Is the tractor one of your favorite big machines? If not, it might become one when you read more about them!
