These were too long for my trolling motor platform, but I knew that ahead of time. Consequently I cut off the threaded part on 4 of them. I kept the threaded parts for something I might do later. I still have 4 intact.

I needed 4 so I ordered 8. Even though the deck is only 5/8" thick the bolts were too short. Bought $16 worth of new hardware at the hardware store. All 8 mounts broke at the base when I tried to tighten them down no matter how gentle I was trying to snug them up. I feel like they may have been cross threading but I don't know how to get around that. Bought $7 worth of ss screws and ended up screwing the trolling motor directly to the deck. Wish I had done that first and saved $38 and over 4 hours of my time. ... show more
