I have a 17' aluminum deep v fishing boat. I purchased the Trac Outdoors anchor winch. It is rated for freshwater & I haven't had any problems using it in salt water. When I return, I wash it in fresh water & spray it inside & out with WD40. P.S. This beats manually pulling in 100' of anchor line...
