The enamel is vivid and bright. The construction is flawless. There is no flex or torsion. It's sturdy, beautiful, and most of all, very inexpensive. Just what the average person would expect from a Japanese company that has been around for 50 years! This comes from Osaka, Japan, and I am floored by how lovely and well made this little tool box/tackle box/art supplies box. I use it to hold all my Calligraphy pens, nibs, inks, and accessories. The only thing I wish this little tool box had would be an insert tray. It's not a deal breaker (obviously), but it would be nice to have the option if a tray was provided. I wish I could give this thing 10 stars... It's that excellent! ... show more

I do like this toolbox! It’s nice aesthetically, feels well built, and holds a surprising amount of tools compared the footprint of the box. To preface this, I’m a regular to heavy user of this toolbox. Use it everyday in a machine shop that I have class in, and I use at work as well. I strap it to a rack on my bike when commuting, and it holds pretty much all of my main tools. However, as good as this tool box is, there’s one problem that I’ve noticed across my use. The paint on the inside of the box scratches and chips so easily! This creates a bunch of semi-staining paint dust that then goes on to coat a bunch of my tools! It gets into tool joints and stains the tools, leaving blue dust all over my hands in the process. It’s fine for the tools, but I also have brushes, flux, and fabric tape that can’t really afford to get impurities stuck in them. For a forty dollar well made tool box , I think it’s fair to hope that you can confidently store your things without having to worry about them. Unfortunately, this will have you needing to clean your tools and things very frequently, and generally, I don’t want to have to do that, especially after spending this much on it. Can’t really recommend it ... show more
