These are my first pair skates. After some research, I took a gamble on these. I did not want to spend the typical $200 dollars on skates since I'm only a beginner. These skates delivered everything! Very rigid and good ankle support, comfortable forward flex, hockey style eyelets, and hard outer material. I wear a size 12 shoe but with a wide foot so I ordered these in a 12 and baked them in the oven to loosen material around the balls of my feet and now they fit perfectly. I was not sure what to expect for such an affordable pair of ice skates. But for what it would cost me to rent 5 times, I was able to buy a brand new set of Tour hockey ice skates. Despite some of the reviews, I received adult/men's sizing and they fit perfectly. There were no missing rivets on the bottom, the laces loosen/tie up nicely and they provide enough support for a comfortable skate. Definitely not something you would want to use for playing competitively, but for a casual set of skates equal/better than the quality of what you would rent at the rink, these are perfect. This has been so frustrating! I went to a sports store to buy ice skates and they recommended buying a full size smaller than your average shoe size. So I ordered my two sons ice skates that were a full size smaller on amazon. They were too small. So I ordered the next size up and still too small. A lot of returns and UPS deliveries and exchanges. Order two sizes larger than your average shoe size. This has been ridiculous! Two boys- 6 exchanges and hopefully this last order will fit! I've been using these shoes for nearly a month, and noticed that one screw is missing. I inquired via their website if this is normal, since it seems that the screw hadn't been tightened deeply into a sole of the left shoe. And I also noticed that the outer edge of the left shoe doesn't cut ice well and it slips. I went to sharpen the edge but I feel like it's still ill-balanced ( I see a slight gap between a black sole and a white plate there where the screw is missing, while the right shoe doesn't have this gap ). Got a size 12 US in men's same as shoe size and they fit just a tad bit nothing that wearing two socks on each foot won't solve fix. I got em on a sale de for $33 + tax think they were $37-$38 out the door and honestly they are great especially for the price!! :) Great entry to mid ish level rec league ice hockey skates!!! :) Get em Right away!!!!!! ;) ... show more

I played hockey as a child and wanted to get back on the ice now as an adult, but dont need high tech skates. These are a super affordable alternative. They might be slightly less comfortable that an expensive pair but totally worth the cost.
