    • Simple Saddle Bag... For a Scooter!
I know this saddle bag is actually for horses, but I wanted something to put on my scooter for carrying stuff. If you're not already familiar, motorcycle-specific saddle bags are CRAZY expensive and do the exact same job, so I went for this nice little canvas bag instead. Bottom-line: it fits perfectly! I mean, it's two bags strapped together in the middle; pretty simple concept, and it works for both horses and bikes equivalently. The canvas is rugged and a decent thickness, and the bags are fairly roomy. I can fit a week's worth of clothes into one bag, and random books and stuff in the other to keep me occupied when I go out. I've been using the bags for a little less than a year every other weekend, and I've yet to see a loose string or a tear anywhere in the bag. I got the light-brown bags, and they are a nice milk-chocolatey color that looks very natural. So yes, I'm not ACTUALLY using the bags exactly for what they were designed for, but darn do they work! Maybe next time I visit my grandparents' place I'll take these bags with me and try it on their horses. ... show more

If you want a saddle bag installed on your tack this is a good one, it doesn't jump or flapp with low load, and if you secure it with the rear cinch leathers and a d ring for the center like the one for mule tack it work really good. For carrying first response bag spurs gloves, your cellphone in upper pouches, food and beverages, it performs good, and the locks are simple from above( mounted), altough as with every saddle bag, if loaded heavily, bouncing is expected, but that is your choice, i,e unload your med kit for arena or fast gaits, but for the trail it has worked great with me for the last 3 months looking as new. ... show more

    • Normally you get what you pay for...but in this case I got way less.
The saddle bags were not the same color as pictured. I ordered the brown with lighter trim and got some kind of drab greenish color main with black trim. I was willing to put that irritation aside... Then I noticed that the way the strap closure was sewn to the bag, there was no way that the cover could ever be tight (even it the bag was stuffed). I know that they aren't the most expensive, but I expected some quality for the money. I'm just going to buy the $50 leather ones at my local atwoods. ... show more

    • Rugged, tough and roomy!
I love the canvas rugged look. It is very roomy. I put my long riding raincoat on one side and all sorts of stuff on the other. Great for an all day ride. It has two smaller pockets on top that are handy as well. It ties securely on the saddle and is waterproof. I highly recommend it.

True. They are not the same color as the picture. Black trim on a purple brown. The buttons on the small pockets stick. I can't see using these for horses. Anything above a walk will spill gear out of the bag. I use mine for a motorcycle.

    • Rugged but needed some slight modifications
This saddle bag was rugged and roomy. I had to modify the straps to be tight enough to hold the flaps down, and the trim color was different than the photo, but it worked as advertised and the top pockets were very convenient.

    • I bought this bag thinking it's exactly like the picture
I bought this bag thinking it's exactly like the picture, brown with a tan trim. But instead I got brown with a black trim. Disappointed but I'll still use it. Bought this to mount on my motorcycle so I gotta Jerry rig something up for it. Still better than spending $100 for a motorcycle saddle bag.
