Normally setting up a home office is expensive. This desk is so great and the price point is awesome. Some would think that it would be cheap and flimsy. Very much the opposite. Easy to put together though it is better with 2 people due to the weight of the product. As a programmer, I wanted to try standing while working, and it's been a great change from sitting all day. This desk has three memory settings that are extremely simple to configure. The particle board top is not of high quality, but it has served me well thus far. I do watch what I put on it and don't put any weight or anything heavy on it. The up and down mechanism is quite fast, so you can get back to work quickly. I now stand most of the day, and if I get bored, I quickly sit down. This Totnz Adjustable Desk is both stylish and practical for those who want the option to adjust the height of their desk; even if it's just their sitting height. The wood grain color and pattern are stunning and the overall aesthetic is one that compliments a variety of decorative schemes. This desk is designed and built to last, with several personalize settings and reprogrammable options. Assembly is straightforward with easy-to-understand instructions and clearly labeled hardware. You will need a Philips head screwdriver and a knife or scissors will come in handy. Spare parts are included, but none were necessary. Installing the transmission rod between the two side was a little awkward, as it was necessary to rotate the rod slightly from the lowest position. The packaging protected the hardware during shipping but did create a lot of waste. The box was damaged upon arrival but the contents were completely protected. It took approximately 45 minutes to fully assemble but it has been functioning without issue for weeks. The only suggestion for the future would be a longer electrical cord for the height adjustment or the use of an extension cord. All in all, I have thoroughly enjoyed having this desk for work. I have programmed multiple height settings that adjust with a touch of a button, so I can go from a sitting to standing position whenever I wish with ease. I can also adjust the height based on what is required of me; for example, online meetings can have a tad bit higher of a setting since I am note-taking, versus emails where I prefer a bit of a lower sitting position for typing. The surface is fantastic for writing on and there is enough space for two monitors, a laptop, a notebook, a keyboard and mouse, as well as a bit of corner decorative space. The additional monitor stand is much too high for my personal preference but since it is only an additional feature, I did not find this to impact my overall review rating. I'd been wanting to try a standing desk since I want to avoid sitting too long when I write. I was very excited when this desk came up for me to review. First of all, this thing is pretty heavy. It was a little difficult for me to move along so I ended up unboxing it on the front porch and moving it indoor piece by piece. No problem! It has very sturdy components. It takes a little while to put together, so be aware. Some reviewers said it took 2 hrs and another had it together in 30 minutes. I was in between that, doing it alone. It's not difficult, just time consuming. You'll need a Phillips screwdriver in addition to the Allen wrenches provided. This desk is very substantial. From the steel legs to the laminate-covered particle board desktop. It looks and feels like a quality piece of furniture. The woodgrain of the desktop is beautiful and I forget that it is laminate. I love it. The electric raising mechanism works smoothly and is actually pretty quiet. I love that it has memory functions so I can preset 3 different heights. I don't have to fuss with getting it to the preferred position each time. Just a press of the button gets it to quickly adjust to where I like it. The desktop is large and I have plenty of room for all my working needs. I don't have an additional monitor with my laptop so I set my printer on the included riser for now. I'm very pleased with this new desk. I feel it will keep me healthier, more comfortable, and more productive since I can alternate standing and sitting throughout my work day.     • Nice desk only when it works
The control panel is already dying after one week of use. The panel is unresponsive when I pressed the buttons. I had unplug the power and plug it back to raise the desk. After a hour or two, when I tried to lower the desk the panel is not working again. Very disappointed but I cannot return the desk now because i threw all the boxes away. This product get 1 star because it’s a nice desk when it works. ... show more
