Description

So much for vows. So much for promises made and not kept. Happily ever after was short-lived and Grace wasn’t sure what to do with the rest of her life. Her husband of just one year had walked out on her—without a word, without warning, and without giving her a chance to fix whatever was wrong. That was the question she couldn’t seem to answer though—what the hell went wrong after only one year. Archer seemed happy with her. He gave her no signs that he was miserable enough to leave her and everything that they had built together since college. He never said a word about having second thoughts after they were married or when they bought and moved into their brownstone. Nothing. Not one word. Not a single sound. Until Jon started texting her. He was her ex and her husband’s best friend. He knew where Archer was and even with his promises that Archer was safe and well, she still didn’t feel better. She missed Archer but when Jon talked to her the way he did, she longed for things that she hadn’t allowed herself to think about since she was dating them both in college. Deciding between the two of them back then nearly tore her soul apart. She couldn’t do that again—she wasn’t strong enough. But Jon wanted her. They both did, and how could she tell either of them no? She couldn’t. Torrid is the first book in the Dirty Desires Series by K.L. Ramsey. Content Warning: This book is a reverse harem and contains MMF scenes. Read more

  • Great storyline
Grace, Archer and Jon are a really great thrupple in this story. K L Ramsey has a great storyline for these three, with a little bit of anxiety built in as to whether or not the relationship will work out. Interesting to read the dynamics built into the story and what they needed to be for each other for their relationship to work. Looking forward to the next in series. ... show more

  • Love can be complicated
One woman, and two best friends that have a connection that is hard to deny. When Grace finds a note from her husband Archer, her whole life seems to be in upheaval, because now she’s on her own and has no idea what happened. Archer has felt as if something has been missing from his marriage to Grace for a while now and he knows that it’s his best friend, Jon. Jon and Grace dated in college briefly before Archer and Grace got together, because Jon made her decide on which man she wanted. Now after a few years of marriage, Archer wants to try to bring Jon back into the relationship, but Jon is hesitant. Jon was raised by catholic parents and is a political advisor. If his relationship with Archer and Grace were to become public knowledge he could lose so much and he’s not sure he’s ready for that. After a they’ve been together for a month or so, Jon decides to walk away, again. However, this time he’s walking away from so much more. I enjoyed this story, it’s steamy and the characters are well developed, but it seemed to be missing some of K. L. Ramsey’s magic for me. I love her other books and she is a great writer. This book was good, but not as good as her others. This book was a quick read. I give this book a 3.5-star review. I will probably read the other books in this series. ... show more

  • Missed the mark
Let me start by saying I love this author and most books are an automatic yes for me. That being said I was so excited about this book and even pre ordered it, waiting for the last few months. I was disappointed. The plot was good, it had tremendous potential. The story itseld seemed almost juvenile and rushed. The steam was brief and lacked any kind of detail. It just was not up to par for this author and the stories I have read in the past. It was super short and ended at about 84%, the rest was previews of other books. I am looking forward to other books coming up but this book was a big flop for me. ... show more
