I'm a truck driver I currently driving 2019 579 Petebuilt with the " DS-1 projector style head lights. IF driver one you'll understand if you're still using the " Halogen" bulbs. The Halogen bulbs are really dull and useless in my opinion night use for me was like not having lights on. So everyone I've encountered with about a brighter particularly I was looking for the bright white LED type that does not over populate someone's vision but adds the right amount of brightness and distance. I was told that it will be expensive or gotta replace the whole headlight assembly and a bunch of others stuff. So basically it was going to be way to much to do. I had a chrome shop that was a big market in lights and stuff was selling bulbs for like a $100 each. So got turned off from doing plus I was a driver for a O/O...well long story shortened if found these for this price $29 for apair...they are bright works well fits well if you use DS-1 type bulbs these are the ones to purchase. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. One of my HID bulbs on my car went out so I was looking for a replacement without having to break the bank. These are more of a bright white light. They are very fragile so take caution when handling. This was the biggest problem I noticed with these lights. It’s been 2 months so far and they have been working well. I bought these bulbs in the past. 1 when out after 15 months and the other is still going. Not bad. I bought another set. I noted when I opened the package the box was open but looked ok. Took the wheel off as this is easiest for access. When I went to install the bulb I noted scratches on the metal in a circular fashion like it was used. Other bulb had a crack on the red boom under bulb. I needed to do the repair and completed it. The bulb works. However, my pics show the old bulb on the left. Sticker is straight. Metal is brushed and nice. Not so on right. Sticker is crooked and the metal is scratched a bit. The next pic shows how torch imprinted their brand on the metal. Next pic no metal stamp. I called Amazon and let them know and was awarded a refund. I hope I am wrong and torch switched manufacturers. Perhaps the new manufacturers are using less mechanization and having folks put stickers on. Even so it doesn’t explain the scratches on the bulb housing. I hope the bulb stays working for a while as it is a pain to get it installed. Make sure to inspect your product before you are set to install to mitigate the issue I encountered. Good luck! My daughter asked me if I could get her car into our shop at the used car dealership where I work. It seems her 2013 Kia Optima SX-Limited had a low beam that went out. So she went to the KIA dealership that has serviced it for many years to get it replaced. (they should be publicly named and shamed, but I won't) They told her it would be over $750 to replace the low beams on both sides (they should be done it pairs). After she stopped herself from falling over...she asked why so much? Well the special HID bulbs are very expensive, like over $150 ea. and you have to remove the whole front end and grille of the car to remove the headlight housings to get them out, and install the new ones. She correctly deferred and told them she would get back to them after some research. Then she called me. I thought that it was a rip-off in process and in less than 10 mins. found these EXACT fit bulbs on Amazon, using the "Amazon Garage" tool to be sure I had the correct part. Then I did a quick search on the internet via Google and Youtube, finding a video that showed these bulbs, on that car being changed out easily, they did remove the headlights and front portion, but I didn't think it was even necessary. I told her to bring her car to me, I ordered and got these bulbs the next day, for under $30 a pair. I lifted her hood, reached behind the headlight housing (driver's side) and removed the rear cover as I just twisted it off, unclipped the wire holder, unplugged the bulb, took it out, plugged in the new, (turned on the car and lights to test it was on before clipping and putting the rear cover back on) and dropped the hood. DONE, in less than 10 minutes. The color temperature and brightness were identical and just as good as the factory bulb on the passenger side. I didn't do both because these lights last for 5 yrs or more, if one fails again, I can always do the other and she has a spare now. So, watch out for the predatory dealer or shops and save yourself some huge money. JFGI "Just friggin Google It" and order up from Amazon. ... show more
