I’ve had more foot problems than anyone I know. Six surgeries, permanent hardware, nerve damage and currently wearing a nerve stimulating implant. I found these slippers recommended for neuropathy and recovery in an article the other day and they arrived yesterday. They are by far the most comfortable and also stabilizing shoe I’ve put on my foot in years. I have so much numbness in my left foot that it doesn’t grip a sole leaving me walking out of shoes that aren’t secured. The special insole grips into the bottom of my foot and keeps it secure while also stimulating the nerves when I walk making me more comfortable and safe from tripping or falling. If you have foot issues run, don’t walk and buy these. I wish they had more colors! Also despite the fleece my feet aren’t hot, just nice and snug. These are a joy right out of the box. They are very cushioned and they started molding to my feet right away. The bottom of my feet hurt almost all the time now as arthritis is setting in. These make my feet feel wonderful and I feel like the unique insole gives me a slight massage every time I wear them. They do not make my feet sweat but yet they are warm and lightweight. Take care of your feet no matter what your age and the rest of your body will thank you for it. It was well worth the expense and I wish they came in a chocolate brown or a navy, as I would buy an extra pair to wear outside in the spring and fall. I bought my usual size and have an average width foot. They do stretch out a little. You would probably be fine if your foot is a little wider, but not by much. ... show more

I’m in my 50s so I’ve tried a lot of slippers. (Ok, I know this is called a “recovery shoe” but I purchased it to wear around the house.) Several years ago a friend introduced me to the wide toe box athletic shoe, and I love it. Room for toes to splay out and lessens the chance of developing bunions. I’ve seen plenty of women my age who have already had surgery to repair terrible bunions, and I don’t want to go there. Luckily, I’ve never liked really pointy shoes so no signs of bunions yet. In addition to the wide toe box the shoe overall is extremely comfortable. I purchased the 10 as I normally wear a 9.5 shoe, and it fits well with or without socks.
