    • Instructions are backwards but overall it is a nice shelf

The good: 1. When you finally get it assembled it is a nice shelf. 2. very sturdy 3. looks higher cost then it actually is. The bad: 1. screw holes are full of sawdust, so it makes a mess. 2. Step by step instructions are backwards so you assemble it, look confused as to why it doesn't fit with the base, disassemble and then reassemble it again mirrored of the instructions. It should only take 10 minutes but takes 30+. The initial picture is correct but the step by step directions are backwards. The wobble mentioned in another post is easy to fix, simply screw the base to the backplane 90% of the way, then stand it up and do the final tightening when it is standing up. I really like this bookshelf. Took me about an hour to assemble the large one. I had to undo a part at the end because i realized I had a board flipped the wrong way. Many reviews said the holes didn't line up, I'd say, make sure you have the boards the right way. Once I flipped the board everything was fine. I definitely recommend using the wall mount. It does tend to lean forward (I haven't put books on it yet but I don't want to risk it falling over). ... show more

I love this little bookcase. It’s just what I needed to put my “to read” books. Overall, building this wasn’t difficult. My only complaint is that I wish the instructions had been a bit more specific. I ended up having to remove the shelves and flip them around so that the screws would go through.

After assembly there's a freaking gap at the bottom. See photo. I can't put anything on this because it threatens to fall over every damn minute. I've put up with it for months. I'm about to throw this away.

Very sore fingers using the Allen wrench. The holes don't line up. We had to take step 6 apart, do step 7, then 6 to get the holes to align.

    • NO WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS - Just look at the pictures and try and figure it out!

WOW! This is not for a "newbie" to build!!!!! - had I not previously put together an Ikea desk (with the same little illustrations only, no written instructions and bad angles of those illustrations) I could not have done this! This is a game of "Where is Waldo" as to find the little holes on the illustration to see where screws go did not assist in lining up the pieces, so you could ID which way the holes went so piece was properly attached. Also, I put the very bottom piece and triangle pieces together right after the first three pieces were done in step 1, as this greatly help with stability. The images/drawings of pieces need to be done better to show where ALL the holes are on each piece so you understand which side goes where, as this is your only guide in determining if you have the piece correctly placed (up/down & front/back). However, it does look just like the photo and my husband really likes it (his birthday gift). ... show more
