I was able to put this together by myself. It was easy. I needed help witht he top. The springs were tough to put on but I did one and my male friend did the other and he helped me put on the top of the table. The directions do say you need two people for the top. Assembly: Above average difficulty Advice: If you have a husband who gets angry at inanimate objects you are gonna want to keep him far away from this project. You will be able to do it with patience! Coolness Factor: Broke the whole chart and now the scientists have to reconfigure the whole thing. Advice: Use the lift top feature for EVERYTHING. It is so cool and useful. Sturdy, durable, stands up to a home that is also an animal rescue. We eat dinner on it every night. The storage is bigger than you think. The media could not be loaded. It was great for the price and box came undamaged. It was very heavy! Overall the table is also heavy and good quality but the top portion that moves and adjusts is lightweight and takes two hands to move it and you have to hold it right in the middle of the table for it to adjust properly. Overall it was a good buy but have to get used to the unstableness of the top. Also be careful when taking off stickers. One of them left a mark that we can't remove and they had stickers everywhere! ... show more

First off, this is very useful for small apartments or spaces, is made of high quality wood, and is stylish. The only issue is that assembling can be very difficult if you do it buy yourself. My friend and her fiancé, (who's a handyman and contractor) came over to help me put it together. Had all 3 of us not been there, we could not have attached the tabletop. Once it's assembled though, it will not disappoint. It's much more cost effective than Ikea, and the wood is of much higher quality! ... show more

Overall I like the piece for the price you pay, but I ran into a few issues. First off the corner of the table came damaged. They use a hard plastic to try and protect corners, but ours had broken at some point and because of that, it exposed the corner to damage as well. The next issue was that the connector pieces seem really cheap. One of the cam locks snapped while attaching the sides while screwing in with little force. Luckily they include at least one extra of each connector piece, but you’re screwed if you have 2 bad ones. The last thing that was mildly annoying was there is some issues with the instructions which you can see in the photos I attached. In step 6 it has you attach some pieces that connect with some cam locks, but they don’t tell you to insert the cam locks into the wood until step 9. But in step 7 and 8 you have already attached the sides making it impossible to insert the cam locks. This makes you have to undo steps 7 and 8 and insert the cam locks BEFORE attaching the pieces. As far as some of the comments I’ve read saying you need two people to attach the top of the table to the base, you can rotate the base on its side standing tall and prop it up with some of the packing material so that you can cleanly attach the top by yourself. Just be careful if you try it this way as the metal could scratch the inside of the table. I found that rotating it tall on its side helped at some points through the construction of the table. The piece looks great once constructed and works as intended. The springs are kind of aggressive and snap close really quick, so if you have a baby/toddler I would caution around opening and closing when they are near. TL;DR: Possibly expect some damage, pray you don’t get bad connectors, and read through all the instructions/understand the steps ahead of time. Possibly not kid friendly. ... show more

Very satisfied with this purchase! Incredibly easy to put together and very sturdy! I was a little worried because of some of the reviews but I'm in love with this table. It's a lot nicer than I expected, because of the price.

    • Nice Coffee Table
This lift top coffee table looks good and performs as well if not better than expected. I was most concerned that the top would not be sturdy enough to use as a workstation. However, at least when new the spring that holds the top in the open position is tight enough to keep the top from accidentally closing. In fact it takes some effort to open and close which is probably a good thing, definitely feels more stable. One small cosmetic issue is that there is one really big sticker on one of the pieces that is not easy to remove. It's on the side facing the couch and low enough that we don't see it, but eventually I'll have to attack it again. There were a few assembly issues. Like most "build it yourself furniture" there were no written directions. Everything was just pictures and diagrams. The parts are well labeled, but you need to pay very close attention to what the picture looks like to help orient the top and bottom of some pieces. The differences are some times very small and hard to notice at first. I had to take a few things apart because they had gotten reversed. Along the same lines some of the parts are similar. The directions do warn you about this but it is easy to grab the wrong thing if you get in the routine of using part E and don't see the warning in the picture. Lastly I could not complete the last two steps in the order they had it in the instructions. The last two steps are to attach the spring mechanism to the top of the table and then attach the whole thing to the interiors sides. I had to reverse those steps. When I tried the way in the manual I could not see what I was doing. (My eyesight is not great) I also couldn't really keep it steady to attach (I was working alone) I had to lie on my back and put the final screws in, but it was easier. Good looking sturdy table. If you have two people working on it like they suggest you'll probably have an easier time of assembly. ... show more
