Almost feels like it’s filled with tiny beads or large sand, so I’m praying my cat doesn’t rip a hole in it, but a weighted blanket has been a life changer for me. My boyfriend gets intense anxiety/panic attacks when he starts falling asleep so he has a lot on his shoulders at all times. He’s gone to therapy and takes medication for his somniphobia, but still struggles. I was shocked that he’d never even heard of weighted blankets before, so I got him this one just to see if it might help. It arrived in 2 and a half days and it’s a game changer. Now he sleeps like a rock, and the bags under his eyes from years of sleep deprivation are starting to recede. When I use it, it feels like a nice soothing hug. The blanket is pretty even and dense (I got him the heaviest one because he’s a big guy). It’s also surprisingly cool for such a heavy thing, but the fabric is a little coarse. He’s fine with it but I think it could use a duvet cover. Anyway, if you’re considering this to help with sleep issues, you should get it. Loved the blanket, today makes exactly two months since I bought it and I woke up with beads ALL OVER MY BED! At first it was a few beads here and there and I couldn’t figure out what it was and then today it was thousands of beads. I wish I was exaggerating but they’re a hassle to clean up. Turns out there was a tiny busted seam. Overall it’s a nice blanket, doesn’t get too hot or anything but isn’t durable if you plan on using it to replace your daily blanket.
