I purchased this as a gift for a friend ( I already have two weighted blankets) he LOVED it. Its so good as a sleep aid, you cant believe how soundly you're able to sleep when underneath. I do keep the room extra cold so I dont overheat, but the blanket does actually breathe nicely.

This is my first experience with weighted blankets and so far, I am liking this one. It’s perfectly weighted to me, breathable, soft, well made. I read many reviews regarding quality but I have inspected this whole seam and it is double sealed, there are 2 visible seams, one above the other, and they are strong. Each individual pocket appears to be solidly sewn. I haven’t experienced any bead fall out. Bonus my cats are OBSESSED with the texture of the beads under their paws and bodies and just zonk out each and every time they lay on me with the blanket. ... show more

This was a gift. I bought it for a woman that battles with chronic pain and depression. She had mentioned that the weight of a heavy blanket might help both conditions and her birthday was coming up so I bought it. I actually bought one that was too heavy. She had to have help from her husband just to get out of bed, lol. So word to the wise, maybe buy one a tad bit lighter if you're unsure. Otherwise, this thing is wonderful! The media could not be loaded. Considering that I often like something lighter, I was skeptical about how a weighted blanket weighing twenty pounds may feel at first. On the other hand, I believe that this blanket had a special capacity to generate a soft and reassuring pressure, which resulted in a degree of calmness that was unexpectedly pleasant after a hard day. I seldom noticed the glass beads move about, even if I tossed and turned a little bit before settling down. The microfiber material had a plush and thick feel to it, and the glass beads were uniformly dispersed throughout the material. The fact that this blanket may be used for a variety of purposes was the aspect that jumped out the most. The air conditioner was turned down to a low setting when I used it on a hot evening in the late summer, and it still managed to offer a cooling effect rather than retaining extra heat. After that, as the temperature dropped into the autumn season, it kept me warm without causing me to sweat or get uncomfortable. This is such a great blanket and has helped my anxiety when sleeping immensely. Get a duvet though, washing it is impossible. Unless maybe you get it dry cleaned? I’m not sure if they’ll do that. Works well for nightmare free sleep

It was heavier in the package than I imagined it would be - I got the 20 pound one and for some reason I was surprised that it was 20 pounds! Just used to misleading advertising I guess. It is not super easy to spread out on the bed and the first time I tried to use it my feet felt squished. The second time I got too hot (I used it in addition to a light comforter). The third time - when it is COLD - I had the best sleep I have had in a long time. Blissful. Turning over in bed takes a little more effort, but I always go right back to sleep, warm and cozy. I loved sleeping under this blanket, however after a year it started pulverizing, and it would feel like I have beach sand in my bed. 20 months in, the amount of ground up beat dust that I find in it bed daily is making this blanket no longer usable.
