This is a great toy if you are looking for something unique and without worry of mold. But it is rather big and can be messy. The fountain that sprays from the bottom is kind of wide so if the kid is holding it near the edge of the tub, it's likely to go over the edge. And since it's big, it holds quite a bit of water. And most of the time, younger kids take no care in preventing this so you usually have water outside of the tub to clean. Also if you have two taking a bath together, one of the two might make the other angry by holding it over them. I recommend this as a bath or pool toy, it’s so much fun even though it’s so simple! My 14 month son loves this toy and it never gets old. Despite how it may look, it is not heavy and he can maneuver the rocket ship himself to pour water, shake it and see the star move around, or lift it up and watch the water fall. The legs of the ship are soft and prevents him from getting hurt or scratching him. For such a small price it is worth so much! My 2 year old had a blast in the bath with it. She looks forward to bath times now because of it. The concept of filling it up and letting it rain out is easy enough for a toddler to grasp. And it is not slick when wet, so their little hands can hold it easily. ... show more

My 3 year old is obsessed with space, so I got him this toy for the bath and also the pool. He loves filling up the rocket, counting down and then lifting it up to see the water spray out. The only issue is that he's managed to dump water onto his face and got some in his eyes a couple of times. I think it's because water can come out the top if it's tilted too much as it's raised over the head. Luckily, he recovered quickly from those incidents, and it hasn't bothered him enough that he's stopped using the toy. But it's something to be on the lookout for. ... show more

I was looking for unusual Bath toys, so Bath time even more enjoyable (especially when your kids don't want to take bath)... Yes, I have all the regular stuff - ducks, balls, etc - but those are not exciting. This toy is different! It's unique. Why? #1 - it's large! Yes most toys are tiny during bath time - not as fun! #2 - it has that cute floating star #3 - the fountain coming out of it is so awesome.     • Big downpour! Loads of giggles!
I bought this for my son whose on the spectrum, age 4. Once bath time stopped being a struggle, he fell in love with pouring water. He laughs and plays with this so much! My 6 and 2 year old also love it. Can get messy though if your kiddos don’t watch for the edge of the tub, but by far one of the best bath toys we’ve owned. 😊 ... show more

    • Fun bath toy, water comes out too fast.
Super fun bath toy. My daughter loves to play with it. We bought it for her when she was around 9 months old. She doesn't quite get out to work it yet. I fill it for her to see the water come out and she gets excited. I do agree with other reviewers...the water comes out too fast. I have to hold the bottom orange piece in place before letting the water out. If I don't do that, it comes out before I get to "launch the rocket" hahaha ... show more

My son loves filling this toy up with water and watching it fall back into the tub. It keeps him entertained, even at age 4. However, if you intend to use this to rinse your child's hair, it is not that effective. There is a large stopper in the bottom which allows the water to fall out in a large circle. This is fun for the kiddos, but if used to rinse hair your child's head will be in the middle of the circle, missing the water. ... show more
