  • they are still really great. make sure you have a freezer to put ...
it's been 15 years since I last ate one of these. they are not exactly the same as the ones I had in school. the recipe has changed slightly. the toppings and sauce tasted identical. the bread is different though. it tastes different. these are 51% whole grain. I remembered them being white bread in school. anyway, they are still really great. make sure you have a freezer to put the box in. it measures 17.5 long x 13.25 wide x 11.5 tall. they are all layered in the box in a big bag with paper separating each layer. ... show more

  • Nostalgia in a box.
So, as a child of the 80s and a teen in the 90s, I ate a lot of these in back in the day for school lunch - as did my husband, brother, and many of our friends. They were always my favorite, so when I saw them here on Amazon, I knew I had to get some and share with everyone for a little trip down memory lane. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! They taste EXACTLY the same as I remember them. Now, that is to say, they are not gourmet goods - but they will transport you back to the lunchroom. Add the smell of canned corn and milk and you've got yourself time travel, baby. As for delivery, I was really impressed - the pizzas came carefully packed in dry ice and they were frozen SOLID. They also came quicker than their estimated delivery date, which was awesome. All in all, I would definitely recommend getting these if you're looking for a little taste of childhood. Definitely worth the buy, especially if you have some friends or family you would want to share them with. ... show more

  • So satisfying to have these again
I had been looking for these for YEARS; my high school cafeteria served them, and I remembered them being soft and foldable, very cheddar cheesy, and having a completely unique flavor. They arrived yesterday, and because of the quantity and the cost, I wanted to share as much info as possible with other Fiestada afficionados. So they came over a week earlier than expected. They were packed in a huge thick cardboard box, lined with thick styrofoam. There were no cold packs, but the weather was still pretty chilly, and they were still hard frozen when we opened the box. I was unpleasantly surprised to find that the Fiestadas were in sheets of six that needed to be broken apart (kind of like plastic toy parts that are pressed together in a single piece), and that they were all loose in a giant plastic bag. I had expected they'd be in bags of 6, 12, etc, but instead the six-Fiestada sheets were layered all together in the one bag. I used my Foodsaver to package them in twos and pop them into a large freezer, but be prepared that you'll need to do something with them as soon as they arrive, and they'll start to thaw pretty quickly after the box is opened. As for flavor, this comes from a biased POV because I really, really loved these in the 80s. I baked them at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes, checking every five minutes. The crusts turned out somewhat crispy, but also dry and seemed too thick. The cheese got nicely browned, but we'll definitely top it off with more cheddar next time. There wasn't much sauce, so each bite was pretty dry. The flavor was ok, a lot like any inexpensive frozen pizza. The plan for the remaining 70 Fiestadas (LOL) is to add more cheddar, maybe top with a little thin taco sauce, definitely serve with a side salad, and to try letting them steam for a bit after they're baked to soften up the crust. Anything to emulate the good old cafeteria method would probably be an improvement. Overall, in spite of the expense, I'm really glad to were able to find Fiestadas again. Now ask me how I feel when we're still working on them two years from now ... :-) ... show more

  • They are ok
Nothing like the ones from school in the 90's. They are ok as a frozen pizza.

  • Not What You Think It Is
I bought these is a nostalgic moment of weakness. Deep down I knew it was too good to be true but I was hopeful none the less. The order shipped very quickly and arrive on time with no issues. However, these are NOT the Mexican pizzas from High School lunch. The crust, sauce, every part of the pizza has been changed and not for the better. What was once a tasty treat to look forward to has been transformed into a flavorless tile of sadness. If you went to school in SW Florida and miss the Mexican pizzas from back in the day, please do not suffer the disappointment of purchasing these. I haven't given up hope on finding the originals but these ae definitely NOT the pizzas you are looking for. ... show more

  • Terrible product
I was so excited to get these and was sadly dissapointed. They are dry and flavorless. I wouldn’t normally leave a bad review based on my personal taste, but I’d hate to see someone else buy these in bulk and then be stuck with a bunch of pizza they will throw away. This type of product could be such a crowd pleaser if they’d spend some time perfecting the product. Did anyone taste test these?? They honestly taste like and have the same texture as cardboard. Huge disappointment. ... show more
