The whole outside of truck is plastic. It is a sturdy plastic but the way the ad is. It is misleading! So just a heads up before you buy it!

This little toy will stand the test of time. I still have my 2 sons Tonka trucks from 30 years ago and decided to buy my 3 year old grandson his own. It may be a little higher than other trucks but well worth the price.
