We absolutely love this utensil rest. It has a great feel and look while being very practical. Food washes off easily. The fact that utensils sit on their sides saves more room than you would think is possible, so the small size is a big plus. I was having a hard time keeping the family from using wood cutting boards as spoon rests -- this cured them! Everyone uses it. The only negative is how stupid I feel that the seller had it shipped directly from Bed, Bath & Beyond to me, where it arrived with a price sticker nearly 25% less than what I paid. I certainly don't begrudge the seller their right to make a living, but I'll chalk the extra $3 up to a relatively inexpensive reminder to do a little research. ... show more

Pretty easy to throw in the dishwasher. Or wipe down. Holds multiple items depending on the type of item then how wide of course. It doesn't take up too much room and makes less of a mess for cleaning up along the countertop next to the stove. Because it is soft silicone you cannot use it on the stove as you would something else while cooking. This is designed to be away from the stove and on the counter top for multiple utensils. I think realistically it can hold two at a time and not for unless the items are very skinny next to each other. This is useful so you don't have to have multiple utensil holders out while cooking. I always used to get a saucer out to hold all the utensils. This is so nice because it holds more utensils than the saucer did, and it keeps them organized so the raw meat fork isn't touching the rest of the utensils. I LOVE IT! My husband hates a trivet. I have no idea why, but it is an on-going issue in our marriage. Well, as far as trivet usage comes up in 15 years. This was the game changer to that barrier. I love the utility of this tool. I think that may be what got him over himself. The fact that we can have a handful of different spoons, spatulas, and the like all parked in their own little home, was something I never knew I needed. I also love that there is a reservoir to stop liquids from going everywhere. Lastly, we hand wash dishes and this is so easy to clean up every night after we cook. Due to limited space on my stove and counter top I haven't had a spoon rest for a while. When I saw this, I realized it would be ideal for me. I love that it can hold more than 1 spoon or utensil.
